The railway stations has got only one toilet available at platform 20, but it's not for free. If you take a coffee in a bar, don't count on a restroom there. That's a shame.

It's a little tough getting around, but most staff are helpful to get an American where they're trying to go. Clean, fast trains.

It's Turin's main train station. It's a terminus. Compared to the first time I entered it (over 30 years ago), today it's not just a train station, but a fully-fledged shopping center. With a variety of shops (books, clothing, appliances) and places to eat.

The station is truly excellent, offering a pleasant experience to all travelers. The environment is very clean, which contributes to a sense of order and care. The large police presence ensures a high level of safety for passengers and workers. There are numerous platforms, facilitating the management of train and passenger flows. Furthermore, the numerous shops offer various options for shopping and refreshments while waiting.

Porta Nuova is Turin's main and historic station, very busy and generally well-organized. There are numerous departing and arriving trains, both regional and high-speed, and convenient metro, tram, and bus connections are available almost immediately next to the platforms. Inside, there are various services, bars, restaurants, and shops, especially useful if you have to wait a while. I found the station fairly clean, and the staff at the turnstiles were helpful. I should note that in some side areas or late at night, the atmosphere can seem a little less safe, but nothing serious. Overall, a monumental, efficient, and well-maintained station, worthy of a large city like Turin.

An impressive station from the outside, and the concourse at the entrance is also very beautiful. But it quickly gives way to a low-rise building. The tracks are also not covered, as I would have expected in an industrial city. Still exciting...

Well-stocked and classy shopping center

I remembered my arrival in Turin in 1963 around seven in the evening from Civitavecchia. The initial departure was Gonnesa, Cagliari, Olbia, Civitavecchia, finally arriving in Turin nine hours later. In Turin, so much suffering. Today, 62 years later, everything has changed; I got what I hoped for. Thank you, Turin, you are my second mother.

Inside there is a place to buy Under 26 GTT card. If you enter through the gate on Via Nizza and walk straight ahead, you’ll see the place where you need to go to get your GTT card. You can either go early in the morning to wait in line, or purchase it online and pick up your ready card there. You don’t need to bring a passport photo – they can take your photo on site.
