Convenient train station, just a stone's throw from Piazza San Carlo. There are ultra-clean paid toilets (€1.20) and plenty of shops and restaurants.

Turin train stop very important as you can then very easily access the metro 1 which is located at the entrance of the station on the sides. The station is well kept full of assistance for any information or problem, a bit long and the waits for tickets or info. The Porta Nuovo railway station is a major hub. Near the ticket machines, a man of dubious appearance offered to buy a ticket from him for a ride on the metro, and not from the machine.
