Scarpa Cosetta In Venezia

16/03/2026: I arrived with low expectations based on the reviews I'd read. But quite the opposite, the hotel was fantastic. Yes, it's an older hotel, and the carpet was a bit faded, but nothing major. Everything was very clean, the room was very comfortable, and the location was excellent. The receptionists were also incredibly friendly. We arrived many hours before check-in, and they told us our room was ready, so we were able to leave our luggage and get ready to explore Venice.

03/02/2026: I went with very low expectations because of the hotel's reviews. In fact, I already had another one in mind just in case, but I wanted to see how bad this one was first, since the reviews were truly frightening. However, it completely exceeded my expectations. I stayed for three nights with my partner, and while it's clearly not luxurious, it has everything you need for a tourist stay. If you're young or simply looking for a place to sleep, it's sufficient. A decent bed (the mattress is bad, but you can sleep well), a comfortable temperature, and hot water. Everything is very old and worn, but relatively clean. We went in winter, and there were no bedbugs, which was my biggest fear... I imagine they're more prevalent in summer. In short, we left happy and I would recommend it, considering the limited and expensive options in Venice.
