The restaurant overlooks the city's main square and has two rooms, one of which is a cozy, enclosed veranda with a wood-burning stove to heat the space. We ate well, featuring traditional Mantuan dishes and home cooking. The tagliatelle with duck ragù were excellent, as were the sbrisolona and tagliatelle cake for dessert. The prices were fair. The service was very attentive and friendly. We'll be back!

It's like being a guest at your mother's place. The interior is like being at home. Excellent quality food and friendly service. Prices are excellent, especially considering the quality and quantity. We'll definitely be back.

It's a shame there's no air conditioning. Good food. The first course was plentiful. The bread wasn't exactly inviting. It was a business lunch. Overall, it's okay.

Saturday lunch with my mom: We had a wonderful and friendly welcome from the wait staff (Andrea) and the chef, who delighted us with their traditional local cuisine and their explanations of the dishes and the history of the town. We ordered the charcuterie and cheese platter with their own homemade mustards, which were excellent, accompanied by a refreshing Lambrusco. This was followed by a delicious risotto alla Mantovana! We tried a very special Lambrusco passito and a Passito di Pantelleria with Piedmontese goat's cheese. Finally, they offered us a taste of tagliatelle cake and sbrisolona with nocino and their own licorice liqueur. A little restaurant from another era, where you feel right at home: it makes you want to return soon! Congratulations!

The terrace on one side of the main square is very pretty. Very friendly, attentive service. Traditional cuisine with local ingredients, including their own production, such as Muscovy duck and garlic; tasty, light dishes. Thin, well-measured pizza with top-quality ingredients and easy to digest. Simple, delicious desserts. Wine by the glass is also available at reasonable prices. Disabled access, including a shared bathroom: if you arrive and there's no parking in the square, don't leave. Set your GPS to "Carabinieri" and it will take you to the street behind the square, where you can easily find parking. Once you've parked, it's a few minutes' walk to the restaurant.

15/11/2025: It's hard to find such a good pizza in all of Mantua and its province, congratulations.
14/11/2025: Passing by, I stopped in with my wife and a small, welcome dog. We had a delicious cured meats appetizer and a Mantuan risotto. I must say, it was divinely good, and the staff were very friendly. I'll definitely be back.

09/11/2025: Beautiful place. Everyone was very helpful. Fantastic food. I'll definitely be back. One downside is the limited parking. But it doesn't affect the quality of the food. Highly recommended.
02/11/2025: Craving gnocco fritto and tigelle and having been unable to find a table at any of the popular Modena restaurants, I saw that this restaurant nearby offered them, so, encouraged by the positive reviews, we dined here on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is simple but well-maintained, both in the dining room and on the veranda, which, of course, has Plexiglas walls in the winter. I imagine it's very popular in the summer. The quantity of cured meats, sauces, gnocco fritto, and tigelle is generous and more than enough for two "normal" people; I must say, however, that it's a bit far from the gnocco fritto and tigelle you'd find in typical Modena restaurants. The gnocco fritto wasn't greasy, but the dough was a bit bland; the tigelle lacked firmness on the inside, and when you cut them, only the crispy sides remained. We probably chose the wrong dish; the menu features both traditional dishes and dishes with unusual combinations, especially the first courses. The orange, chocolate, and chili tart was delicious, served hot. I recommend keeping the kitchen door closed, as the room filled with the smell of fried food. The service was friendly, fairly quick, and attentive (though not everyone was). A bit of confusion when it came to the bill, but it was resolved. Competitive prices. Would definitely try again another time.
