A slightly old fashioned atmosphere, but still pleasant. Attentive service and very friendly staff. We had as an appetizer a grilled polenta with goat blue to share, pumpkin and ricotta tortelli with herbs, a tasting of desserts with a glass of passito to share. In addition two glasses of Lugana (Ca dei frati), a bottle of water and two coffees. Total €71. Very good food (I recommend the tagliatelle cake and the sbrisolona among the desserts and tortelli), generous portions. We left very satisfied. For the quality and quantity of the portions (the dessert tasting is enough for two) the bill was very honest. Advised

A little dated and in need of maintenance. Typical and excellently prepared foods. Friendly staff and always attentive to the customer. Excellent quality/price ratio. I will definitely go back.

Di tanto in tanto amo portarmi a San Benedetto Po ( San Benedetto Polirone), memore sempre della sua ricca storia e di cui alla gloriosa abbazia. In zona si trovano ameni ristorantini, come questo che sorge proprio a due passi dall’insigne basilica. Ristorante e pizzeria dalla atmosfera calda e tranquilla. Personale assai gentile, menù ampiamente conforme alla tradizione locale. Sosta nel complesso appagante. La quarta stella alla prossima visita.

Locale situato di fronte alla famosa abbazia del Polirone , dove si e' accolti cordialmente in una saletta di piccole dimensioni. Buon rapporto qualita' / prezzo per una cucina del territorio con porzioni abbondanti. Ben cucinati gli gnocchi con fagioli e salsiccia e le tagliatelle all'anatra muta ma lo stracotto d'asino e' super. Dolci caserecci come la torta di tagliatelle e salame dolce chiudono la serata. Torneremo certamente per provare il tagliere di salumi e formaggi abbinato al gnocco fritto e visto arrivare in sala.

14/05/2025: The place is dated, however the dining room is welcoming and clean. The managers were really kind and thoughtful and showed us special attention. We enjoyed a delicious dinner. The place is not exactly located along our usual routes, but if we have the opportunity we will gladly return.
15/02/2025: Good food, satisfying portions, adequate prices, kind owners, atmosphere with the atmosphere of times gone by.

03/05/2025: Even though I hadn't booked, they immediately and pleasantly seated me outside. Quite good tortelli with butter and sage, with which the waitress recommends a natural wine which I accept. Shortly afterwards, at the table next to mine, a couple who make it clear that they understand wines, ask to try what was recommended to me, but the innkeeper (the owner I deduce) dissuades them by saying - verbatim - "forget it, it's rubbish". Now, given that I find it incorrect that "crap" was recommended to me, I also believe the different treatment between customers is incorrect, as well as being in bad taste and not very intelligent to discredit a product you sell in your place. To have the second course the wait was endless, even though it consisted of six pieces of cheese with a few pieces of mustard (no long or particular preparation). They apologized saying "the plate didn't fit in the dumbwaiter".
02/05/2025: The atmosphere that reigns in this place is that of lovers of good food and traditions that Sciko, the owner, knows how to present with courtesy and ability that identify a passion for presenting gourmet dishes for vegans and non-vegans, which satisfies flavors and ideas for all palates. As a vegan for more than twenty years I can only make my positive contribution to this team who know how to transform a convivial evening into a magnificent opportunity to enhance their culinary experiences. It is at the top of my culinary experiences and I recommend it without ifs or buts. Fantastic.
