Good sandwiches, but a little expensive (for a sandwich, soft drink and dessert you spend around 30 euros/head). Small place and in my opinion tables too low.

Really good, very kind, excellent food, super available for every request, we ate for a week at midday as we were in the area for work, a really nice surprise... we will definitely see each other again as soon as possible.

Great sandwiches in every sense: fresh ingredients, burgers and bread made by them. Good beers, good fried foods too and super service. The only flaw: cooking scents can remain on clothes.

Excellent service. Clean place. Good food, high quality and honest prices. They also do home deliveries which I give a score of 110 out of 100. I will definitely go back and recommend it to everyone.

My 40th birthday party was a great success, impeccable service despite the crowded place, quality food prepared with skill, we had a mixed grill of meat for 16 very hungry people, grilled vegetables, strong potatoes, fried potatoes, rivers of beer, and lots of water for teetotalers, we all came out super satiated and more than satisfied. very honest prices and owners who prove themselves to be rare people and restaurateurs to find, a guarantee. In conclusion, you don't need to go out of town to eat well in quantity without being fleeced and above all with quality products, just go to the sax pub 🤩 thank you again for helping to make my party an unforgettable day ❤️ Always unique!

No, I think it's the best sandwich shop in Trieste currently. The owner has explosive enthusiasm and welcomes you as if you were the best customer in the place (first time seeing us) and the food is top. Although the size was more than nice, the sandwich was light. Excellent quality and I'll tell you this by writing the next morning. I slept very well and it doesn't always happen if you eat badly and heavily the night before. Drank excellent IPA beer The TOP of sandwich shops. Compliments.

02/02/2025: Die Bar Gran Malabar, oder wie die Triestiner sagen, das Mala, oder die Malabar ist immer einen Besuch wert. Das kleine Lokal hat einst Geschichte geschrieben und die teils beeindruckenden Leistungen der Winzer der Region in die Welt getragen. Für alte Stammgäste wie mich ist es natürlich traurig, dass Walter und Mario mittlerweile im Ruhestand sind, aber zumindest Mario ist noch sehr dahinter, und es geht kaum ein Tag, an dem er nicht nach dem Rechten schaut. Die Nachfolger kommen großteils aus der alten Mannschaft, und sie machen einen ausgezeichneten Job. Die angebotenen Produkte variieren, nach wie vor gibt es kleine Snacks und immer noch Getränke al banco, man kann sie sich aber auch servieren lassen (dann kostet, wie in Italien durchaus üblich - alle Produkte um 1€ mehr. Nach wie vor ist die Malabar ein Fixpunkt der Stadt, die Atmosphäre ist immer noch einzigartig und die Produkte vorzüglich.
