Sarace' / Restaurant & Cocktail bar In Forio

We wanted to try this little restaurant located in a small alley in Forio, attracted by its elegant decor and interesting menu. The service was pleasant and never intrusive, and the atmosphere was quiet. Our expectations fell short. The Ischian wine was good. The fish was fresh but lacking in flavor, except for the truly top-notch citrus mayonnaise. The Saraceno appetizer was good. The fried fish was good but lacking in crunchiness, the grilled fish was very good, and the Boccaccio parmigiana was pretty to look at but (far from a true parmigiana) lacked sauce, the eggplant was overcooked, and the flavor was unconvincing. The bruschetta and potatoes were good. The desserts (babà tiramisu and chocolate sphere) were frozen. The ending wasn't exactly memorable.

A very nice location; we ate inside, in a very comfortable room with original and charming furnishings. The dishes were served with elegant plating and were all of excellent quality. The ingredients were very fresh and superbly cooked. Even the raw seafood we tasted was all top-notch. Thanks to Ciro for his excellent service, which made us feel at home while also guiding us on a sensational tasting journey. Highly recommended!

Small portions, greasy food, pretentious, overpriced

We walked into Sarace’ in Forio and struck gold 🇮🇹 No booking. No plan. We simply walked into Sarace’ in Forio and ended up having one of our favourite meals on Ischia. The fried baccalà and gamberoni were a great way to start. The ravioli coniglio was packed with flavour, while the pasta Genovese delivered everything you want from a classic slow cooked Italian dish. We somehow found room for the chocolate and walnut dolce, and we’re glad we did. What stood out most was the service. Warm, welcoming and genuinely friendly. The sort of place that makes you want to come back. If you’re in Forio, Sarace’ is well worth a visit.

Magnificent place, incredibly high-quality food, polite and very fast waiters, a taste of any dish is an explosion of flavors. The prices are moderately high but are justified by the excellent quality.

Highly recommended, the hospitality and courtesy were excellent. The food was delicious.

Located in the center of Forio, the service was unbeatable and everything we ate was delicious.
