Sapori Di Casa In Roma

Our group got ripped off at an outrageous price in Venice. The hotel was a wall view, the weather was windy and rainy, and we paid almost 90 euros for pasta, fried food, and beer. In Rome, we decided to use our Italian-speaking friend's chance to not get ripped off! We asked him to find a neighborhood restaurant that was close to our accommodation at Termini Station, where there were no tourists, and where it wasn't expensive! We ordered according to our savior's choice! The result was a great success! As soon as we opened the door to the restaurant and entered, there were handsome students with a ROTC vibe sitting and eating, and it felt like regulars from the neighborhood! The main reason our group failed to order in Venice was because the internet was down, so we couldn't use a translator. This restaurant also had a QR menu, so we could use a translator, and we were able to order without the help of a translator. This restaurant makes noodles by hand, so they feel like udon noodles, and the cheese has a deep flavor. I can confidently say that this is the best Cacho e Pepe in Rome. As the name of this restaurant suggests, it is home cooking, mom's cooking? Perhaps because of this, the food was not salty and especially good. I ate until I was full, but it only cost 38 euros! Everything was satisfactory, but the best thing was that the staff was friendly and not burdensome. I was grateful that they were willing to take pictures for us. If I have the chance, I want to visit again and eat trippa or fist-sized meatballs, which are the equivalent of tomato intestine soup.

Excellent restaurant with Roman specialties. We returned without having booked and we were able to eat. The service was perfect and the food too. Grazie Mille!

Excellent typical Roman trattoria a stone's throw from Sapienza... carbonara and parmigiana I WANT IT!!!!

The restaurant was full, the service was super efficient AND super friendly. There were four of us, we each ordered different dishes, and they were all excellent. It perhaps helps that we speak Italian, but at the end I tested the waitress's English as we intend to go back with some visiting friends who don't count Italian among their several tongues ... no problem ... another box ticked! Prices were entirely reasonable and we would all recommend the restaurant without hesitation. An additional bonus for Rome was that parking was not impossible! We'll be back!

Arrivo di lunedì sera nei dintorni della stazione per un soggiorno di lavoro, cercando una trattoria tipica romana, mi fermo davanti questo locale affollato ma invitante e tutto sommato corrispondete a quanto stavo cercando, il locale dentro é pieno c’è da aspettare parecchio, fortunatamente ci sono tavoli esterni e decido di restare nonostante sia dicembre e fa abbastanza freddo (ma sono ben attrezzato) . Devo dire che mi sento subito accolto con simpatia e cortesia, mi viene proposta come antipasto una bruschetta con melanzane (solitamente non mi esaltano le bruschette ma mi faccio convivere) che arriva abbastanza presto, devo dire,non me l’aspettavo, buonissima. Sul menù sono attratto dai ravioli fatti in casa all’amatriciana: anche questi veramente buonissimi con una pancetta croccante da leccarsi i baffi!. Dulcis in fundo crostata di fichi e noci fatta in casa: anche questa veramente buonissima. Cortesia, tempi d’attesa brevi nonostante la folla, buon rapporto qualità/prezzo
