We had a great experience last night at Saomaki. The restaurant is located near St. Paul's Cathedral in a very elegant setting. Inside, the restaurant is very nice; the concept is that of a more refined izakaya, and the Japanese decor, with all the wood furnishings, conveys this impression. We started with a small entree featuring revisited dragon fruit and tempura shrimp (€13), with a truly dense and crispy tempura. We opted for a sushi dinner, taking advantage of the 30-piece mix (€50). Everything was perfect except the warm nigiri made with crispy rice, which was a bit too crunchy for my taste. We also tried individual nigiri of amberjack (€7) and salmon (€6). The piranha gyoza (€16) with their incredibly tender picanha filling are truly unique. Don't be fooled, they're not an appetizer; in fact, they're included as main courses because they're generous and truly substantial. One plate for two is more than enough to enjoy them, and in my opinion, I couldn't have eaten more. We washed it all down with a bottle of Ribolla Gialla (€30). We finished the dinner with dulce de Leiche and pistachio cheesecake (€6 and €7). A wonderful evening in a splendid location with excellent food. At €148, I think the quality/price ratio is well respected. I can't wait to go back.

The best sushi in Aversa. We went there, and the atmosphere was refined, quiet, and relaxing. Everything was refined, from the unconventional menu to the ambiance, and even the takeout service was spotless and inviting. The staff was extremely kind and helpful.

The menu is basic but delicious. The ingredients are high-quality, and gluten-free options are also a priority. I recommend dining outside during the warmer months, with a view of the bell tower.
