As soon as we arrived in Marta and were strolling along the lakeside, we met an elderly Marta resident who recommended this restaurant, about 500 meters from the lake. Naturally, the recommendation was readily accepted, and it proved to be an excellent restaurant with generous, well-prepared and delicious first courses and a wide selection of meats and cured meats. The chickpea, mushroom, and chestnut soup was excellent, but what about the fettuccine with porcini mushrooms and ombrichelli with cardoncelli mushrooms and sausage? All washed down with an excellent bottle of house red wine (a rarity). A special mention goes to the oil served as a condiment...it was delicious on bland bread and a little salt. Overall, absolutely recommended. Oh, I forgot...very honest! If we ever find ourselves in this area again...we know where to eat.
