Santa Bonosa In Roma

A truly wonderful discovery just steps from the statue of Gioacchino Belli. The place is small, but the staff are friendly and welcoming. The dishes were a tasty and pleasant surprise. The pasta alla Santa Bonosa is spectacular!

I booked this restaurant with The Fork. The food was delicious and truly excellent quality. The service was courteous, but the staff were very professional. I work in this field myself, so I think a little more smile and a little more empathy with the customer wouldn't hurt. Good value for money.

I give it 5 stars for the wonderful welcome and their service! For me, their strong point is their handmade, but above all fresh, desserts.

Enjoyable, although without the Fork it would have been a bit too expensive. The braised meat was poor, the ribs and sausages were better, but strangely, there was no polenta. Friendly and efficient staff.

We had dinner for five of us, averaging €44 for an appetizer, first course, dessert, and house wine. The desserts were truly excellent. The oxtail stew and tripe were equally delicious. The carbonara was excellent. If I may offer a piece of advice, the plastic water bottles don't do the place justice. I've seen the other negative reviews the restaurant has received recently and I disagree. Recommendation

Everything super good and made at the moment

We made a reservation through The Fork. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were surprised by the waiter who asked us to cancel our reservation to make room for new reservations. We didn't quite understand the reason for the request, but we complied. When we sat down, we ordered our main courses directly (we don't usually order appetizers because we tend to eat very little) and were immediately asked why we didn't order appetizers. The waiter was so irritated that we ended up ordering appetizers even though we didn't want to, which made us quite uncomfortable. We ordered Cacio e Pepe, Coda Alla Vaccinara, and roasted potatoes with rosemary. The dishes were well-served and delicious; it's a shame the service was so awkward. At the end of the meal, we were surprised to learn that credit card payments were not available and that cash was the only option. This information should have been provided upon arrival, not at the time of payment. Unfortunately, we left the restaurant frustrated because we would love to return because of the food, but the service won't allow it. It's a shame.

I don't understand all these negative reviews. I've been coming here for years and I'm always very happy. Perhaps the quality of the food has improved.
