Spectacular cured meats and space gastronomy dishes 🤩 We took a platter of mixed cured meats, a portion of swallow's nests and some meatballs; to close a blue cheese.
All served in a room with "special" furnishings.
Really well done, I will definitely be back
27/02/2025: As far as I'm concerned, it is here in Montale that it is possible to eat the best Piacenza platters. Cured meats, cheeses and wine are exactly how I like them: seasoned and with a strong flavour. This butcher's shop is certainly not synonymous with delicacy, and it is perfect as it is. A real awakening for the taste buds. Compliments especially for the cured meats: between coppa, culaccia and salami, I don't know which was better. The bread and focaccia in the bags were also delicious. You can feel the quality, as well as the freshness of the products. But it was above all the desserts that surprised me, since, in places like this, they are very - too often - left in the background and consequently their goodness suffers. Here, however, simple products such as cocoa biscuits, baci di dama and tart are worth as much as the more elaborate desserts you normally find around. The cake with plums and amaretti, with its contrast between bitterness and sweetness, is a clear demonstration of how little is enough to create unforgettable meals. The attention to the customer then adds the icing on the cake to an already excellent experience. You can feel how the staff cares about providing excellent service in a timely manner. It was nice to listen to the explanation of the individual products on the cutting boards, even though I didn't understand it. Knowledge adds flavor to the meal. So what can I say: now I know where to go when I want an aperitif in Piacenza again.
