Saloon Risto Pizza Pub In Tarantasca

Along the highway to Cuneo, there's this little place that calling simply a "restaurant pub" is a bit of a stretch. Despite some issues with ordering due to a misunderstanding between the waiters and the kitchen, we received excellent dishes, carefully prepared and in generous portions. Meanwhile, we saw some very interesting-looking pizzas and burgers pass by. The service was courteous, and I don't feel like lowering my ratings for a one-night hiccup (like too many people do without understanding what it means to work in the restaurant business). In fact, we'll definitely be back for the pizza and burgers. Reservations are highly recommended, as the place isn't very large, but the quality always draws a crowd.

We've been to the saloon several times, both for pizza in the evening and for lunch as a restaurant. We celebrated our baby's baptism there; excellent value! The à la carte menu is very varied, with a wide choice of meat, fish, pizza, and burgers; whatever you choose, you can't go wrong. I also recommend the aperitifs, with generous and varied platters. The desserts are excellent, especially the Tarantaschese. They also offer gluten-free and lactose-free options upon request.

I tried the Gemelli pizza and it was a pleasant surprise: light and well-cooked dough, fresh ingredients, and a perfect combination. The half pizza with radicchio and pancetta is tasty, but a whole one would be too much, so here's the one with bresaola, lettuce, and cherry tomatoes, which is fresh and balanced. A different kind of pizza, really good. Recommended!
