On Saturday, March 14, 2026, I found myself celebrating my birthday alone for the first time in my life. After careful research, I decided, despite the fact that I dislike and have difficulty being alone, to book a table at this restaurant, hoping to at least treat myself to a pleasant moment. However, I never imagined that this experience would soon become, quite literally, a true gift. Starting with the location, enchanting and private enough to put, even if only for that brief moment, a brake on the incessant pace of the serious lives and thoughts of everyone present at the table. Moving on to Claudio, the kind, courteous, and honest facilitator of this unforgettable journey, who, from the moment I arrived, as he does with every guest, put me at ease, giving me the feeling of having known him forever but, above all, of having finally arrived in a safe space protected by him. Concluding with the dishes I had the privilege of listening to, observing, and tasting. I remember each of these distinct yet interconnected experiences being so enchanting that the further I went, the more difficult it was to express in words my pleasure and amazement, prompting me to simply and magically enjoy everything that was happening to me. I won't go into further detail; I'll attach a few photos of this enchanting journey, and I thank Claudio and the entire staff once again for this unforgettable gift, which wasn't just a birthday present, but also, and most importantly, a life gift.

As always, it never disappoints. One of my favorite restaurants. Yesterday's dinner was also top-notch. Galactic risotto.

We walked in when they opened and were able to get a seat. Salefino made one of the best meals that I had in Italy. We ordered their tortellini and ragu with “old cow,” which I’m assuming is primed beef. The service was great and the space was comfortable.

Recommended by friends, an exceptional first experience, with a unique and unconventional menu. The first courses included the tortello stuffed with pork, followed by the rosticciana with chard, which was practically butter. Next time, I'll definitely have the maritozzo with chicken cacciatore! Wonderful staff and a welcoming place! Congratulations! A special mention for the wild boar carpaccio with artichoke slices and the meatballs alla francesina!

One of the best dinners of my life, delicious and very typical food (I recommend the off-menu items), ancient but elegant location and impeccable service.

I had dinner with two friends and we couldn't be more satisfied. The waiters were very professional and friendly, and the food was spectacular. I've eaten at various places around Tuscany, and this is undoubtedly one of the best. I also recommend it to anyone who, like me, is celiac: they make fresh pasta (gluten-free), and they can adapt practically every dish—hard to find that in a restaurant. The price was fair, and the atmosphere was lovely. If you're in Siena, you have to try it.
