Sakura In Pesaro

We were here for New Year's Eve. The place is very nice after the renovation. In addition to the all-you-can-eat menu, we also had lobster and steak and had a fantastic evening. The dishes were beautifully cooked. I was very pleased and will definitely be back. The owner is friendly and always smiling. I highly recommend it: the best sushi restaurant in town.

We went to Sakura for New Year's Eve 2025/26. We had a truly wonderful meal in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Congratulations to all the staff.

Given that tastes are subjective and not the same for everyone, this evening I decided to try this sushi restaurant I found by chance on Google Maps. As soon as we entered, we were escorted to our very large table, perfect for having enough space to place our dishes. Orders are made via tablet. The all-you-can-eat dinner menu is quite varied and averagely priced. One definite plus is that drinks are much cheaper than at other restaurants. The dishes arrived fairly quickly, but almost none of them, apart from the uramaki ebiten and the hosomaki, exceeded our very high expectations. Some photos of the first and second courses didn't match reality, so much so that the calamari skewers looked quite peculiar. Overall, I found the rice a bit strange, as if it were overcooked. Furthermore, under one nigiri, I found a small live insect that may have landed by mistake, but it wasn't removed from the plate before placing the sushi pieces on top. If I had to give the restaurant an overall rating, I'd reluctantly give it a 5.5. The location is actually nice and modern, but unfortunately, the quality of the dishes mostly fell short of passing grade. I tend to emphasize that there are worse places, and for someone accustomed to eating sushi of the same quality, this isn't bad sushi at all. The subpar rating is also due to the service, which unfortunately was quite disappointing, as there were several mix-ups between my table and the one next to me. The waitress who also works at the counter was very friendly and kind, and she even offered to offer us a digestif. I hope that over time, the quality of the dishes will improve, managing to hit the mark. You have potential, and I imagine this series of errors occurred by mistake and aren't a daily occurrence. I still wanted to give it 4 stars so that my review can be constructive and not detrimental. Thank you for your understanding!
