Saghir Ristorante Wine Bar In Praiano

A very cute and tiny restaurant with just a few tables in Praiano – charming in its own way. The food was good and solid, though not particularly outstanding. As others have mentioned, it’s a true one-man show, so waiting times are quite long. If you want to order something extra, it takes a while, which is a pity, because otherwise the place has a lot of potential. Located right by the street (quite common along the Amalfi Coast), which also shapes the atmosphere. All in all, a nice evening with decent food in a unique little spot.

We discovered this place on Google Maps; it was right across the street from the hotel where we were staying. The first time we went, we were struck by how limited the menu was and that the owner did everything himself, from taking orders, to cooking, to collecting payment. With patience, you have to understand the dynamics. Wait for a table and that's when the magic begins. The dishes we tried are simply out of this world: simplicity, flavor, and a lot of work and dedication. I was encouraged to try seafood, which I would never have tried before, and it was simply spectacular. We had to repeat the three nights we stayed in Praiano, and we didn't regret it. The quality and price are excellent. We will definitely carry this great experience in our hearts. On the last night, we were lucky enough to hear live music. We were very happy in every way! Congratulations!

Long story short. If you are someone who is always in a rush or feels impatient, this might not be the right spot for you. The restaurant is run by a single person who manages everything - from the kitchen to service and beyond. Believe me, it is a one-man show, but it works just beautifully. We dined here on three separate evenings, which I think speaks about how special this place truly is. The food constantly surprised and delighted me every time. The owner, Piccoletto, is deeply involved in every aspect of the experience. He takes the time to come to your table, share insights about the dishes, and give you a personal connection to the meal. He is hard at work preparing the food so you better be patient. Also, if you are lucky, you will even get to watch him cook. And, for an even rarer treat, he might surprise you with a trumpet performance during your dinner - an unforgettable, live music experience. The flavors in the food are phenomenal, and every dish is worth trying. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to Piccoletto for everything he did for us during our visit. Excellent, simple and flavorsome. We ordered the scampi and mussels, both dishes were uncomplicated and leant into the quality of the ingredients. Be patient and you will be rewarded. A fantastic experience in truly beautiful surrounds.

Very nice small restaurant! Amazing food !

I made a reservation here based on past reviews, but we happened to go on a quieter night, so we had nearly the whole place to ourselves. The interior is really wholesome and charming, the wine was very tasty and both our meals were delicious. We split mussels for our appetizer which was phenomenal and I had the squid as my main. It was very flavorful. Definitely recommend this spot for a more intimate dining experience.

Comida increíble, fresca y sabrosa. Gran pequeño lugar con buen servicio y relación calidad-precio. Tuve la ensalada Saghir, Ravioli y mousse de Chocolate, todos ellos fueron increíbles!
