We chose to stay at Sa Tanchitta for the Samugheo masquerade event... and we couldn't have made a better choice! A truly incredible place, surrounded by nature, with an authentic family management: everyone was kind, welcoming, and helpful. We asked if it was possible to be dropped off and picked up from the festival (which is about 15 km from the village), and Gino, the owner, was incredibly kind: he didn't hesitate to drop us off and pick us up, even though it was late. The rooms were clean, fragrant, air-conditioned, and equipped with every comfort. The breakfast was excellent, with homemade local products, simply perfect for starting the day. Highly recommended for those seeking relaxation, sincere hospitality, and an authentic stay away from the chaos of the city.

A refreshing change from the hot beaches and busy cities! This is a quiet little place well outside the nearest village - perfect to relax in the shade and enjoy the silence. The host is very friendly and willingly sharing knowledge and tips for activities. We also enjoyed the tasty dinner.

Great hospitality, professionalism, and service. Excellent food, and especially huge quantities that let you savor the typical Sardinian flavors of yesteryear! Splendid location in the middle of the woods.

A high-quality facility, comfortable and welcoming rooms, food rich in flavors and typical local aromas, friendly and helpful owners, and a convenient location that allows for daily trips to both the beaches and inland Sardinia. A new Gym hiking trail through cork oaks and holm oaks is available in the surrounding forest. Definitely an experience worth experiencing.

A true agriturismo, the place is very well-maintained, the food is excellent, and the owners are incredibly welcoming. I highly recommend it and hope to return.

…and then my Sardinia never ceases to amaze me! A motorbike ride to Lake Omodeo and then lunch with traditional foods - cannisones and pecoralla a cassola, as well as countless super good appetizers. Kind and thoughtful welcome. We stayed in the “Murta” house with the beautiful mural, myrtle, on the internal wall, air conditioning and private bathroom. Excellent breakfast with a nice variety of flavors. And then…ok …since the calories ingested were so many…off we go on the nature trail (under construction but perfectly passable). Maybe we’ll try it this spring …now with this heat ..🥵 we’ll limit ourselves to a walk 😉

Do you give 5 stars to the best structure where you have been and the others lower or do you give 5 stars if you had a good time inevitably flattening with a lot of 5 stars? I lean towards the second. We have been coming to Sardinia with our motorbikes for 10 years. Every now and then we change. We come for the curves. For the smells. For the little traffic. The hotel? It's a side dish. "Sa tanchitta" has a lot of space and passionate staff. Are they perfect? ​​No. Are the rooms 5 stars? No. But they have air conditioning and are well kept. They give you a lot of towels, are some not perfect? ​​You don't use them. It's a farmhouse, not the Hilton. It's quiet and silent. Clean enough. And honestly, that's fine. The managers are passionate and always available. We had asked for boxes and they found them right away. The dinner is varied and changes every day. Breakfast is simple and honest. Do you want anything else? Go to the coast or not come to Sardinia at all. Emilia Romagna is perfect but it doesn’t give you anything of what Sardinia does. Sardinia is like this. Rural. Simple. Wonderful. We will be back…
