Io e i miei amici cercavamo un ristorante vicino a Porto Rotondo che non avesse prezzi proibitivi e che non fosse turistico. Cercando su TripAdvisor, abbiamo trovato questo e abbiamo prenotato (nota bene: prenotate! Il locale è abbastanza grande, ma si riempie anche velocemente! Quando siamo arrivati, c'erano solo altri due tavoli occupati, ma dopo mezz'ora era tutto pieno). Ci hanno fatto accomodare nel giardino, uno spazio davvero delizioso e dall'atmosfera tranquilla e curata (stile rustico-chic). Io ho preso una zuppa di cozze, buona e abbondante, come antipasto e come primo io e il mio ragazzo abbiamo diviso un primo di mare (il piatto in questione è per minimo 2 persone, da menú): ci hanno portato un vassoio e hanno fatto le porzioni direttamente a tavola. La pasta era molto buono e il sugo gustoso, ma era davvero tanta! Ci dispiaceva buttare via quello che era avanzato (anche perché non era poco), quindi abbiamo chiesto di poter avere un bag in box da portare via. Il personale ha accolto la nostra richiesta e ci ha preparato quanto chiesto. Sono stati davvero molto carini. Il conto non è stato proprio economico, ma, come ho scritto all'inizio della recensione, la zona è piena di locali proibitivi, quindi mangiare tanto e bene a un prezzo nella media per gli standard del posto va più che bene! Consigliato. Ps: il pesce era fresco e di qualità, dato che anche il giorno dopo la pasta era buona.

Fermati per cena in questo locale tipico. Serviti subito da un personale molto gentile e premuroso. Mangiato molto bene dall’antipasto al dolce. Posto che consiglio.

For the area it is definitely worth it if you don't want to get ripped off! We ate well (right, if I have to make a criticism, the spaghetti with clams was very tasty but not very creamy and a little liquid). The place is not trendy (but better, as far as I'm concerned!) It's not one of those places where you pay for the location but for the quality! They treated us really well! Really satisfied with the overall experience!

Really friendly staff. We had a good time with good food. The language barrier wasn’t an issue at all. In the end, they even offered to drive our friends to Olbia as there was not taxi available for them. Great service and very much appreciated. Thanks again, if we’re ever back in Sardinia, we’ll visit again.

When we arrived it seemed to be closed at first. Nevertheless, we gave it a try and were very positively surprised. The food was delicious, the service was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommended!

After various searches for a rustic but non-touristy restaurant near the Gulf of Marinella where we can eat porceddu, we landed at Sa Runda. We couldn't have made a better choice. Our intention was to enjoy only the porceddu without having to eat all the previous courses included in the fixed menus that most farmhouses offer. While recognizing the convenience that this type of service offers for farmhouses in general, we didn't want to get swamped with food and not enjoy the porceddu which is still served at the end of the meal, when you can't eat even a bite! So the choice of sa runda was brilliant. The porceddu, as well as the Gallura soup (which we recommend anyway) must be PRE-ORDERED when booking the table complete with arrival time to be served perfectly cooked!!! I would say that attention like this is already worth an excellent score. The cooking of the porceddu was nothing short of perfect with a very crunchy crust and juicy meat. The porceddu is already served with roast potatoes, both a little less salted (probably to please all palates) but just adjust with what is on the table. The delicious guttiau and carasau bread offered at the beginning of the dinner, the seadas as dessert and the good glass of Carignano Buio that we chose to accompany the meal, certainly contributed to the excellent success of the dinner. The service of the two ladies in the room, in general a little slow (not as far as we are concerned) but evidently due to the full crowd they had and in any case... The table is convivial, you can even sit for an extra 5 minutes and enjoy the moment... came across as friendly, kind and thoughtful. We gave 4 stars only because the girl with us, who didn't eat porceddu, had chosen the fillet asking for medium cooking which in reality was a little overdone making the meat a little tough at the edges. As for the price, we were satisfied with the service, the dishes but above all because we actually spent for what we wanted to eat and not for a fixed menu made up of many courses. We spent around 40 euros each for a portion of Sardinian pecorino as an appetizer while waiting for the main courses, two generous portions of porceddu with potatoes, two glasses of dark Carignano, 3 bottles of water, a grilled fillet, a chip fried and two seadas. Personally we found it in line and proportionate to how and how much we ate. Since we liked it we didn't have time to take photographs....

Nice little place with very friendly and helpful staff. Prices average for the area. I liked this place because unlike many restaurants it doesn't force you to have the fixed menu that other restaurants charge from €50 to €70. I had a very good time, the piglet was below expectations but I'm happy to have tasted it, same thing for the seadas, I prefer something else for dessert.

25/08/2024: We have been on vacation in the area for a week and we have gone a couple of times for dinner. The pizzas are delicious, the atmosphere is very pleasant and the owner is very attentive and friendly. If we return one day to stay in that area we will definitely repeat.

Symposium

08/10/2024: Good sliced beef and sea food (mixed grill of fish and grilled calamari and shrimps), tiramisù didn't feel like home made but seada was delicious. Also the house wine was quite good. I'm giving 4 stars just because portions are small but that's actually average for Sardinia.
08/09/2024: We have visited this place twice. I leave 3 stars to give an average, because the second dinner deserves 1 star. The first evening went well; we tasted the fish first courses which, although not brilliant for the quality of the raw materials, were artfully prepared and were very tasty. The second evening was a terrible experience. We had 2 mussel soups that were among the most tasteless I have ever tried in my life, and a grilled fish that was equally tasteless and poor in content. No dessert because to prepare a seadas they asked us to wait 20 minutes (no alternative was offered nor did they seem sorry for the absurd wait, perhaps offering us 1 coffee or 1 amaro). The place is nice but lacks a lot in raw materials and organization, given the not cheap prices they should make an extra effort.
