An old Genoese trattoria serving traditional Ligurian dishes. The atmosphere is simple, with closely spaced tables, and the service is friendly and unfussy. I had farinata, mixed cakes (chard, rice, and onions), and Ligurian-style rabbit. Everything was excellent. Be patient, as they don't take reservations and there's often a line outside the entrance.

A small osteria with a welcoming, simple atmosphere, serving typical Ligurian dishes.
Amazing food! Truly delicious cakes and farinata, baked in a wood-fired oven.
A place that has won my heart!

15 minutes of attention is truly worth the comb. Here, time has stopped and we eat as we ate in our 50s, a great mother is definitely hidden in the kitchen.
Troffie with the freshest pesto, perfectly cooked, meat ragu with juniper berries, fried and melting cod, basil panna cotta, light and perfect to end the meal... and, what's more, they're friendly, happy to work here, you can see it, and it shows right in the dish.

Dinner in a historic, traditional inn, now in its fourth generation of family management. The atmosphere was a bit noisy, both due to the convivial layout of the tables and the fact that it was quite crowded, with two tables in the dining room. Dinner for two included a sampling of traditional appetizers (rice cake, chard, onion, meatloaf, and farinata) cooked in a wood-fired oven. The side dish was a generous portion of stuffed vegetables (peppers, onions, zucchini, and eggplant). The main course was a Genoese specialty: stockfish with potatoes, olives, pine nuts, and oil. Bread was served as a cover, along with pieces of Genoese focaccia and breadsticks. To finish, a delicious local dessert made from sponge cake, butter, and sugar—Sacripantina. All washed down with a good white wine. The dinner was made even more enjoyable by the delightful, friendly presence of the waitress, whom we sincerely complimented.
The inn was recommended to us by a local guide, Antonella, during the "antiche botteghe" city tour offered by the IAT (Tourist Information Office), which we recommend.

Sa Pesta is a must-try in Genoa. Authentic Ligurian cuisine, excellent farinata and savory pies, and pesto made the old-fashioned way. A historic restaurant in the alleyways, with a genuine atmosphere and friendly service. Excellent value. Always worth returning.
