A small restaurant in the heart of Lucca. Reservations are highly recommended, as it's often fully booked.
I can only comment on the quality of the Florentine steak, as we only ate that. Truly excellent, with a superb value.

When I moved to Lucca for a week, I walked into this restaurant on my first night. It became my go-to restaurant for the evenings during my stay.
Excellent food. Not plentiful, but sufficient. Efficient and friendly service. A relaxed foreign and local clientele.

I'd love to give it 10 stars.
Incredibly delicious food, great atmosphere, friendly, attentive, and simply fantastic staff. I highly recommend it. Even after 10 p.m., there's life and passion here. We'll definitely be back. Chapeau!

This was truly one of the best pastas of my culinary journey so far, and I've already munched my way through countless countries.
The pizza was also good but could have used a bit less salt. Nevertheless, I can highly recommend this restaurant, especially for the beautiful old Tuscan atmosphere and the really fair price (my cousin, the swellhead, and I ordered two bottles of water and thought, oh my god, the bill is going to be high, but no, it wasn't! In the end, we only paid €34 for an appetizer, two main courses, and two bottles of really good water. My full stomach and I can really, really recommend this restaurant.

Unfortunately, there was no seating outside, but inside was also nice. There was a slightly louder group of young people, but of course, they can't do much about that. Very friendly staff. The food was delicious. I was alone, and the food arrived very quickly, which is a plus and a minus :)

We followed reviews in Lucca and ended up at this restaurant. We were seated in a cozy alleyway decorated with several tables. It depends on your taste, but we found it very rustic and cozy.
We started with a carpaccio (unfortunately, no photo), but it was truly delicious! Even without the dressing, it was absolutely delicious. We also had a platter with various hams and a pecorino cheese, which was also excellent.
For our main course, we both had a pizza, one with Parma ham and the other with tuna, which were also delicious! We were both very full.
The service was also very good and friendly.
You also get delicious, crispy, warm fresh bread and a wine glass that was truly amazing.
Highly recommended!

Trovato per caso cercando il nostro b&b, ancora con i bagagli, veniamo attratti dalla scritta "il trippaio di Lucca", prenotiamo per pranzo e tale è la soddisfazione per la cucina genuina e tipica al 100% e per la convivialità del locale che decidiamo di tornare per cena!

Anche se siete da soli e’ come pranzare a casa. Accogliente e affettuoso, sia il locale, sia la cucina.
Solo toscano e per nulla novelle cuisine. Porzioni da casa della nonna. 😀
