If you find yourself in Orbetello, a stop at this trattoria is an absolute must. The menu offers a successful balance of Roman cuisine and seafood, using fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. The fried fish was a pleasant surprise: crispy, light, and not at all greasy. The tonnarelli with mullet bottarga—an unusual choice, given that tuna bottarga is often used—and the artichoke alla Giudia, expertly prepared, are also excellent. All this is accompanied by a Vermentino from the Bruni winery, perfect for enhancing the flavors.
Generous portions, an original "pirate ship"-style atmosphere, and great attention to quality make this restaurant a 5-star destination. Congratulations!

We visited Trattoria Da Rugantino in Orbetello and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere is charming, the food is homemade and authentically Italian, and the staff are very friendly. Everything we tried was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true taste of Italy and a cozy dining experience. Lo so. Siamo in Toscana e si va a mangiare in un ristorante romanesco? Beh si. Comodo da raggiungere dall’hotel ci sembrava la soluzione migliore rispetto a quelli proposti da Tripadvisor. Buona cena, personale vestito in costume, solo il conto mi è sembrato un po’ più caro della media. Mia sensazione però ci tornerei.
