Total mistake we came here by mistake and so glad we did. Food was exquisite, wine and service was amazing. Would definitely go again. On the waters edge with lovely views

Elegant restaurant with a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. Despite the strong wind that day, the effective wind protections made lunch extremely pleasant. The fish, both raw and cooked, was of excellent quality, and the service was distinguished by courtesy and professionalism. We discovered this restaurant thanks to word of mouth from friends and, after our experience, we will recommend it without hesitation to anyone visiting Reggio Calabria!

Suggestive restaurant on the seafront with a large terrace overlooking the strait and a splendid view of Sicily. The place is sober and well furnished. The fish is very fresh and the wine list is also excellent. We started with a rich appetizer of seafood crudites with shellfish, tartare, oysters. Followed by a trio of swordfish, tuna, octopus rolls. Good choice of desserts, but we stuck to the traditional Pizzo truffle. The very kind and professional waiter who looked after us throughout the evening recommended a bottle of local white wine, very fragrant and fruity. Furthermore, in addition to having shown us the various courses, he also let us taste two delicious bitters, also from Reggio. We spent a lovely evening and the price is also excellent (110€ for two). The only flaw was the carelessness of the waiter who took the order (different from the one who served us) who literally ignored us even though he had seen us and took the order of another large table that had arrived much later than us. However, apart from this inconvenience, we will return.

Nice seafood restaurant located on the sea, with an outdoor terrace and an internal room entirely made of glass. Excellent dishes and excellent wines. The service is good, even if a little uneven; we were served by two waiters: one very attentive and professional, the other a little less so (he needs to do a little)

Restaurant with breathtaking views of the Strait. Excellent cuisine. The staff is very helpful and kind; perhaps the quality-price ratio is not the best in the area due to the slightly high prices in my opinion. I found the cooked appetizer tastier than the crudités, perhaps because the latter is served very cold and probably this flattens the flavors a bit. The lobster first course is excellent, not to be missed! The beauty of the location certainly repays what you spend!

Ritorniamo sempre volentieri al Royal Reef: vista incantevole, pesce freschissimo, combinazioni sempre interessanti, bella accoglienza. Abbiamo gustato il Boccone di benvenuto dello chef, l'Insalata di polpo in agrodolce, l'Arrosto di polpo e seppia su crema di patate alla barbabietola e, dulcis in fundo, i Tagliolini vongole veraci, cime di rapa e pane croccante alle alici calabresi. Ottimo prosecco di accompagnamento.

Buona cena sul mare di Reggio. Notevoli i tagliolini ai ricci di mare e nduja, gustosi gli antipasti e la frittura, buon vino. Un buon posto dove mangiare sul lungomare.
