We went to this place for a Sunday lunch. The place is very welcoming and the staff very kind. The dishes, typically Tuscan, were all excellent with an honorable mention for the pappardelle with wild boar which, personally, went well beyond my expectations. The wine list is also excellent, offering a wide choice of Chianti reds together with a careful selection of Tuscan wines. The only flaw for us was the service: unfortunately, given the crowds, our table was a bit forgotten. Even though we were among the first customers to arrive, we were among the last to leave and be served. However, the waitresses were quick to apologize and make amends, a gesture that I appreciated very much. A must if you pass by Castellina.

Around the Chianti hills, until you reach Castellina in Chianti, a very beautiful village.
We ate in this tavern, welcoming environment.
Ate fried egg, porcini mushrooms, truffle and cream and bigoli in sauce.
A little disappointed by the fried egg, it wasn't to our liking, the whole thing was very liquid... too much cream.
A little better for bigoli.
Friendly staff.

We have now been to this restaurant, we had a wonderful meal, friendly and welcoming staff, since it was my birthday they gave me a bottle of wine! And if they had known before they would have celebrated me big time 🎉

The place is nice, but above all the cuisine is excellent: the best pici in 5 days in Tuscany. The girls at the tables are good and kind.

Eravamo di passaggio , due coppie di amici con una bambina di 18 mesi diretti nella val d’orcia , il personale gentilissimo si è subito preso cura della bambina facendole subito un piatto di pasta, mangiato divinamente , bevuto un ottimo Chianti classico e speso il giusto!!

Beautiful place, we had lunch and were served with attention, courtesy and friendliness. Platter of cold cuts, cheeses and croutons, tagliatelle with wild boar ragout, baked suckling pig, desserts, all really delicious, thank you so much for the great experience.

We had an outstanding meal at the Osteria today. The ambiance in the restaurant was inviting and cozy, the food options were intriguing, we had a hard time choosing, all homemade daily, including the bread and desserts. The wine recommended by the staff was delicious and the service was personal and attentive. We had some of the best Italian food we ever ate and will definitely return the next time we’re in the area.

Visitando unos amigo, nos quedamos en Castellina in Chianti. Debido a la época casi todo estaba cerrado menos esta Rosticceria. ambiente rústico, muy agradable, la gente muy atenta, el olor que venia de la cocina te hacia soñar.
Como cosa nueva pedimos una Faraona, muy buena y bien hecha La carne del Filetto al PEPE Rosa y vin Santo, estaba cocida a la perfección y el sabor excelente.
Es preferible reservar. Nosotros tuvimos suerte y tenían una ultima mesa.
