We had lunch under the very simple but comfortable canopy.
Attentive service, even though it's primarily takeout.
The portions aren't overwhelming, but they're not small either.
The owners are very friendly—I don't know if they're a father and daughter—and down-to-earth, which is something that's been a big deal lately.

Everything was very good, the only shame is that the menu doesn't state that you need to reserve a table for the fish sauce to go.
Addition: the sauce was for two people, and in the recommended dishes, I simply selected the ones offered, adding whatever came with that sauce because it's very good anyway. I always like to be honest, but I'm sorry you tried to distort the truth. I wonder if I'd have given it one star 😀 I removed every favorite dish, just in case there was another mistake... woe betide us.

Top spot, good fish, and generous servings. In addition to their seafood specialties, Nicoló Valandro (local restaurant expert) and I highly recommend the artisanal desserts on the menu, especially the zuppa inglese.
The next day, we met the cashier at a bar on the river; we exchanged glances, but neither of us had the courage to say hello. We'll do it now: Hi, cashier! Loved it.

I had the pleasure of trying Sale e Pepe's rotisserie, and I must say it was a surprising experience in many ways. First and foremost, the quality of the cooking: dishes are lightly cooked, without excessive seasoning or grease, yet rich in flavor. It's rare to find a rotisserie that manages to maintain this balance, and here they succeed to perfection.
One dish that particularly impressed me was the cod tortelli: well-rolled fresh pasta, a flavorful but not overpowering filling, and an excellent consistency. A dish that alone is worth the visit.
Then I wanted to try the spaghetti allo scoglio, and here I must say Sale e Pepe exceeded all expectations: the portion is truly incredible, easily 700-800 grams total between pasta and fish, served generously and abundantly. It's not just about quantity, but also quality: super-fresh mussels and clams, perfectly cooked calamari, flavorful shrimp, all blended in a balanced sauce that doesn't overwhelm the flavors but enhances them.
The overall impression is of a rotisserie that focuses on care and abundance, without sacrificing lightness. It's a place you'll gladly return to, knowing you'll eat well and leave satisfied, both palate and stomach.
Sale e Pepe is a true guarantee: well-cooked, plentiful dishes with an attention to detail not always found in a rotisserie. Highly recommended for those seeking flavor, substance, and quality in a single experience.
