Rosticceria Cinese YIYI In Cremona

Don't expect a restaurant. This is like a kebab place... but with soy sauce. No frills, you order and eat. No fake, hypocritical smiles, the manager is always pissed off about the incessantly ringing phone. Because it's first and foremost a takeout, but we still sat at one of the only two tables. Everything was very good, very cheap, and without any cooking smells despite the spartan, easy-to-digest atmosphere (unlike many renowned restaurants with red lanterns). If you bring your girlfriend here, she'll probably leave you, but you'll have eaten well and spent a fair amount. When I move to Cremona, I'll try it for takeout too.

Everything is always delicious and cheap! (And then I order as if there were 5 of us eating when there are only 2 of us, so I notice the convenience 🤣). Really extensive menu, everything is tasty and delicious. I'm just sorry there isn't a home delivery service or support for some food delivery app, it would be much more convenient for me since I live in Castelvetro Piacentino and am just outside the city. The owner is super nice, even if he seems a little reserved on the phone hahaha.

While the food itself was acceptable, what really affected the overall experience was the service. The staff came across as very unfriendly and dismissive during the interaction. Communication felt rushed, and there was little effort to be polite or welcoming. Even basic courtesy—such as acknowledging customers or responding respectfully—seemed to be lacking during my visit. Good customer service is an important part of any dining experience, even for takeaway spots, and in this case it significantly impacted my impression of the place. I hope the management takes this feedback into consideration, as improving the attitude toward customers could greatly enhance the experience, especially since the location has potential.

In Cremona by chance, I found this Chinese rotisserie after searching on TripAdvisor. I went there and everything was delicious. I ordered two menus with a choice of first and second courses, plus a bamboo pork and mushroom dish, plus a special fish soup. I paid €13 for six dishes. Fantastic, and everything was excellent. The place is almost spartan, but you don't eat there anyway... it's excellent, and worth trying. We returned after a long time, almost a year. I live in Cuneo. The management has changed, and the prices have gone up a bit, but the quantity and quality of the food is still excellent. Anyway, it's a sure thing for us in Cremona. There are four tables for dining if you want. The owner is friendly. The service is fast. Given the many phone orders, I recommend calling to make a reservation. A fresh coat of paint and a thorough scrubbing of the floors would certainly be appreciated. But the food is excellent. It's always nice to come back and eat. The place is still dated, but the food is excellent.

Acceptable if you don't have time to cook yourself.
