Great food with wonderful recommendations from a wonderful staff. Family operated and the tuna and mussel pasta was 10/10

We had a really nice meal. Good quality food, excellent local wine and not to big portions, so you can manage three courses 😉. And the service was very professional and nice!

We've been to this seafood restaurant twice, and on both occasions the food has proven to be truly excellent: fresh ingredients and well-prepared dishes, with flavors that reflect tradition. The only thing that could be improved is the portions, which could be a bit more generous, especially considering the expectations for Sicilian cuisine. The staff, while professional, wasn't particularly warm or welcoming, as one might expect in such a setting. Overall, it's still an excellent choice for those seeking quality seafood.

Underrated venu - we had a beautiful experience. Great ambiance and service, we sat outside in the back alley. Ordered a cream of zucchini and muscle spaghetti as recommended by the waitress - best pasta I’ve had in san Vito lo capo.

The stars speak for themselves. The welcome you receive immediately puts you in a good mood, the young lady (unfortunately we didn't ask her name) is the jewel in the crown of the place. The super-nice guy even convinced us to order a deconstructed cannoli even though we were bursting at the seams. The fish is really good, and the vegetarian options are excellent too. The price is fair for the quality of the food. Nothing to add, we'll definitely be back!

We went for dinner, and it didn't meet our expectations. The seafood couscous was good, but the portion wasn't up to par for the €20 they're asking. The other dishes were passable but not particularly impressive, and the portions were also very small, from the calamari pasta to the busiate with tuna ragu, where you could only taste the mint and nothing else. The bread, which is normally included in the cover charge, was only brought to us upon request—a basket with four slices for eight people, so we had to ask for it three more times. The only positives were the wine and the owner, who kindly offered us a 20% discount. After we got up, a friend of mine went to another place for takeout pizza. I repeat, the couscous was really tasty.

The food is good, the staff is welcoming and attentive. It's worth a try.

I've visited Osteria La Caponata in San Vito several times and I have to say the food is excellent. The waiters are very friendly and give you excellent advice. The busiate with tuna and the ones with aubergines and swordfish are fabulous, not to mention the couscous with fish. The fish is very fresh and if you come to San Vito lo Capo I highly recommend it ☺️
