Forced by circumstantial circumstances to return to this "restaurant" after years, I was once again deeply disappointed. Pappardelle with wild boar ragu wallowing in a grayish, completely flavorless liquid. A trio of Roman specialties (involtino, tripe, offal) with a sickening involtino sauce. Yet I can't explain the packed restaurant, much less the positive reviews. In my opinion, this is a place to absolutely avoid. Everything is always average, both the food and the prices. Use only when absolutely necessary.

A typical Roman trattoria with excellent dishes. Try the delicious pasta e fagioli! If you go on weekends, reservations are a must; otherwise, you won't find a table.

We had a lovely dinner here during our trip to Rome. The staff was very polite and the food was very delicious! Even without knowing much Italian at all we had a wonderful night.

In a typical tavern setting, all the recipes of Roman folk cuisine triumph.
My taste buds were unexpectedly awakened by the sausage and rib sauce spread over a bed of polenta and sprinkled with pecorino cheese.
A dish I hadn't eaten in decades.
The artichoke alla giudia was also excellent, and it's worth noting that the table was set with a tablecloth and cloth napkins.
The popular wine is rightly offered at a reasonable price, and in the end, it's the one that best pairs with the dishes.

Authentic trattoria in the Appio Latino neighborhood, quite chaotic in a rustic setting. The food is good, featuring typical Roman dishes. The appetizers and wild boar pasta are noteworthy.

I went to Romolo e Remo and was truly thrilled. The staff's courtesy was extraordinary: by far the friendliest and most attentive I've ever encountered. Always smiling, helpful, and ready to make you feel at ease throughout the evening.
We arrived late from our trip and without a reservation, and they went out of their way to find us a seat.
The dishes were delicious, rich in flavor, and perfect for those who want to savor authentic Roman cuisine. All this in a very informal yet welcoming setting, where you immediately feel at home.
I absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to experience local cuisine in an authentic and warm atmosphere!
