I've known this pastry shop for many years because I grew up in the area and used to go there often when I lived here. At the time, it was considered one of the best in the area, and even several bars in the town where I lived bought their products.
After all these years, I can say that the quality has remained the same: the desserts are always very good and well-made. Every time I come back here on vacation, it's almost a must-visit.
As you can see from the photos, the desserts are generous in filling, and you can sense the care taken in their preparation. The shop is simple, unpretentious, yet welcoming and has the typical atmosphere of a small, village pastry shop.
Another thing that unfortunately hasn't changed is the manners of the lady at the counter, who I assume is the owner. She has a somewhat peculiar personality: sometimes she chats and explains things, but more often—I'd say at least 80% of the time—she can come across as rather hasty or a bit brusque, with little regard for the customer, especially for first-time visitors.
For example, when pointing out the desserts, it sometimes almost seems as if everyone already knows the names of each product on display. If you name one incorrectly or ask for an explanation, you might sense a certain impatience in the response. It's a small thing, but for first-time visitors, it can make you feel a bit uneasy.
It's a feeling I've heard over the years from other people who frequent the place frequently.
Personally, I believe that the welcome is a big part of the experience when you enter a place, and it's also the reason I don't give it five stars. That said, the quality of the desserts remains unquestionable and continues to be one of the reasons I always love coming back.
Of course, this is just my personal experience, but for the quality of their products, it's still a pastry shop I recommend.
