Ritrovo degli Amici In Triora

I went to a meeting with friends in Verdeggia on a Sunday in late August. I was with a friend and we were disappointed. Not even a paper tablecloth, just two tiny placemats. For the first courses: the pasta was plentiful but with scant seasoning. For the second courses: the roast was really small; two small, thin slices plus a few baked potatoes. It tasted like yesterday's roast reheated. We didn't order anything else. The bill was reasonable for the quality and the small quantity. We didn't spend much, but I'm sure I'll find a restaurant in the same area in the future where I'll leave satisfied.

Nice place in the Ligurian mountains, typical food of the valley but of good quality, average prices.

We had dinner at Ritrovo degli Amici after a beautiful day relaxing by the walnut pond in Molini di Triora. What can I say? Everything was simply perfect. Ornella, the owner, makes you feel right at home and part of the family. The food is like grandma's old-fashioned cooking. We had a mixed antipasto with many excellent selections, a delicious first course (sugeli, a typical local dish), and to finish, a fantastic wild boar with potatoes. Generous portions and excellent prices. Highly recommended; you won't regret it.

A charming place. We stumbled upon it by chance after a bad day of cycling. First of all, we found the owners to be incredibly friendly and the food excellent. If you happen to be passing through, it's worth a stop.
