We have visited Tschaminschweige several times and have always received a warm welcome, including our dog. The Gorgonzola pizza with apple slices was fantastic. We'd love to come back in the spring.

Went there with my wife last summer! Great food, great service! We were really more than satisfied and will definitely be back next summer! It's a shame that you're only open in summer, but that way we're more excited! 🙏🏽

The restaurant is located directly on a hiking trail. Perfect for stopping off, there are tables on the terrace and inside. The service was courteous, but due to the large number of visitors we waited three quarters of an hour for our food. However, drinks were at the table within a few minutes. The food is classic South Tyrolean and very tasty.

We were there without registering, got a spot straight away, but it was well attended. Prices for drinks and food are absolutely fair. We shared a pizza bread beforehand, which was very tasty and promising. And the expectations were not disappointed, the pizzas were all great, you can even watch the chef preparing them. Very friendly staff! We would have come back straight away, unfortunately they were only open on weekends in the low season. Excellent recommendation!

25/11/2024: Starting point for hikes on the Algunder Waalweg or via St.Peter to Tirol Castle, the Brunnenburg or via the Tappeinerweg to Merano, or further via the Sissiweg to the botanical garden of Trauttmansdorff Castle
09/11/2024: During the walk that would have taken us to Merano starting from Tirolo, we stumbled upon this wonderful Schloss which also offers restaurant service. On nice days you can dine on the terrace which offers spectacular views of the surrounding panorama. The food is well prepared and tasty, accompanied by an excellent Forst beer, poured to perfection, which in these places can be savored in all its magnificence. Freshly prepared roasted chestnuts were also available. Friendly staff, and price commensurate with the location. Nice experience!

Malga Schmiederalm

04/02/2025: In a beautiful location in the (fortunately not yet too well-known) area of ​​Aldein, not far from Weissenstein, Petersberg and Nova Ponente, the Schmieder hut offers hospitality, a quiet environment and excellent quality food, in the best tradition of Südtirol, also from a price point of view.
12/10/2024: A warming and delicious stop in rainy weather! Cozy and friendly.
