Trattoria in the countryside, located high above Lake Scandarello - a very green and easygoing atmosphere, a quiet place for a "slow life." Fast and efficient service, friendly staff. Cool interior, pleasant outdoor tables (with a light breeze) in the shade, near the greenery. The fried coratella and zucchini were very tasty and plentiful. Excellent and plentiful homemade ravioli - with meat sauce. Tender and flavorful lamb, very good both in the fried breadcrumb version and in the grilled version. The mixed roast was a bit dry, not as good as the rest. Good bill: €69 for three for a full meal (without dessert), including wine. Fair and fair prices, considering the more than generous portions.

Very friendly and helpful staff, perfect service, clean bathrooms, and all the food was delicious, especially the very light fried food. The location is well-kept and overlooks the lake.

Three of us showed up without a reservation, and we found a table right away. Excellent gricia and amatriciana, a delicious appetizer of fried vegetables (on offer). The grilled lamb was excellent!

We were two adults and three children passing by. They were kind and courteous, seating us in two minutes and immediately bringing us menus and water, so the service was excellent. We decided to order a €25 menu that included an appetizer of mixed cured meats and cheese, a choice of two typical local first courses, a side of fried zucchini, and even some meat with an amazing sauce, water, 1/4 cup wine, and a coffee. Then we ordered three fries and another fried zucchini. A delicious dessert and a slice of watermelon, but they were kind enough to bring two more slices. Excellent, indeed, more than excellent value: we ate incredibly well, compliments to the chef, in a beautiful, very welcoming family-style setting and super friendly staff. If we ever return to this area, Trattoria da Santino will be a regular stop. Thank you for delighting us with your dishes. Amatrice will forever be in our hearts. Unfortunately, 10 years later, everything is still very abandoned, and there's so much desolation. These people who work so hard deserve more attention from the higher-ups. Thank you.
