I celebrated my birthday at Tanur with friends, and it was truly unforgettable! We started with a variety of antipasti—kashke bademjoon was a standout—and the koofte was hands down the best I’ve ever had in Rome. The main dishes were absolutely delicious, and everything was full of flavor. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home. Review – Persian Restaurant in Rome The restaurant is located in a central area of ​​Rome, easy to reach even by car. We were welcomed with great kindness by the owner, who made us feel at ease right away. Even though there were only two of us and the place was not crowded, the service was a bit slow. However, the wait was rewarded by really abundant and well-prepared dishes. The menu offers a wide choice of typical Iranian dishes, well presented and with authentic flavors. The only flaw: the slightly high price compared to expectations. For an appetizer, a main course and a dessert we spent about 45 euros each. Will I recommend it? Great Persian cuisine experience, definitely one of the best in Rome.

Da tanto provavamo a prenotare in questo ristorante ma ogni volta ci dicevano che non c’erano tavoli liberi. Stasera finalmente ci siamo riusciti! Vi consiglio di chiamare molto prima. Il locale è piccolo ma molto carino. Ho adorato i lampadari e le finte finestre con specchi ☺️ per non parlare del cibo. Anticipo che è la prima volta che mangio pietanze persiane e forse non sono proprio ferrata, ma ho valutato a mio gusto. Abbiamo iniziato il pasto con dei Felafel, polpettine di ceci fritte con Hummus in ciotolina. Speziate, buone e ben fritte. Poi due piatti unici: un Kebab makhsus, cioè uno spiedino di filetto di pollo allo zafferano e uno di macinato scelto di bovino, riso basmati e insalata, pomodoro alla piastra e peperoncino verde; e anche un Sabzi Polo Mahiche, cioè uno stufato d’agnello super morbido con brodo in ciotolina e riso basmati al vapore con aneto. Tutto veramente buonissimo! Peccato non essere riusciti ad assaggiare i dolci ma eravamo già pieni. Dobbiamo tornarci per forza dunque 😅 Buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. E comunque i prezzi delle varie pietanze sono presenti qui su trip e anche sul sito del ristorante se siete curiosi di saperli in anticipo. Ve lo consiglio veramente.

Il locale è carino e la proprietaria gentile ma... a livello di cibo siamo rimasti un po' delusi in quanto i piatti completi a base di pollo che abbiamo assaggiato a dire il vero erano un po' insipidi. Quando vai in un ristorante del genere ti aspetti sapori speziati e particolari, cosa che non abbiamo trovato. I dolci misti finali, costosi, erano praticamente in quantità davvero esigue! La prenotazione la abbiamo fatta con The Fork e, visto che i prezzi sono piuttosto alti, sarebbe carino mettere almeno un 20% di sconto. Una volta ok, due... no.
