The food is excellent and the portions are generous. The staff is very kind and the atmosphere is typical of a familiar and welcoming place.

Great food and welcoming proprietor! We arrived before it opened but Romeo saw we were chilled - ushered us in to wait, started a fire for us, even brought us freshly baked bread to warm us up! We're walking the Magna via Francigena - we had wanted to explore more of the old section of Cammarata but all of the restaurants are in San Giovanni. We made our way to Ristorante South 1995 - the ONLY restaurant in Cammarata - Pizza, fish, pasta dishes were all excellent- and the cheesecake was scrumptious and beautifully plated. Worth the walk!!!!
