Siamo stati in questo ristorante su consiglio di alcuni amici. Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti poiché abbiamo potuto degustare alcuni piatti tipici della cucina romana: rigatoni alla amatriciana e spaghetti cacio e pepe, fantastici carciofi e cicoria ripassata, puntarelle e carne grigliata tenerissima. In ultimo un budino della casa squisito. Personale molto gentile e professionale. Superconsigliato

Nothing to say, we were 11 people, service was normal for a sunny Sunday. All good, especially the porchetta, very spicy. Good first courses, the carbonara was appreciated, meat that you can choose directly at the counter is very good. Average desserts, very friendly offered coffee. I recommend it.

We arrived at this place somewhat by chance recommended by a very kind Roman lady who lives in the area. We had a great time. It is an informal place where we enjoyed Roman cuisine. Also available is a pizzeria and grilled meat which you can choose directly at the open counter. Everything amazing! We had dinner with:
local appetizers (abundant)
pasta carbonara (phenomenal)
in addition tripe and pork rinds with beans.
House wine.
Coffee and grappa.
All for €38
Friendly and pleasant staff.
To all this we add that the place was full of people, many of whom were local... so... everything is great here!

This is one of those that were once called out-of-town trattorias, a real one and it has remained: it has been here for almost 90 years, always managed by the same family. I passed by it more than half a century ago, when the motorway didn't exist, you could go to Fregene from here: "Dad, why don't we stop?". He, with the Millecento, continued straight ahead. This time I stopped, after having driven past it a hundred times, in a hurry, always in the van. And I found what I was looking for then: simple but friendly service - and nowadays in restaurants with higher demands they treat you worse -, simple but genuine and tasty dishes, (very) generous portions, low prices. We are close to the sea, but the protagonist is the meat, the Roman tradition, with Abruzzo influences (arrosticini!), the Avezzano potatoes, specifically not frozen. The counter is impressive, where you can choose steaks from around twenty different pieces. Here "grilled" means what it promises, not a simple grill. The choice of wine is more than adequate for the place, with excursions outside the region, as was once customary. The bulk wine is more than honest.
A few words about the large room, with photos of personalities lost over time, or immortal, like Coppi and Bartali and the water bottle, a photo signed by Coppi.
In short, a confirmation that FAO protection is needed for the trattorias and taverns of the past. We will return as soon as possible.

Large place with good accommodation, but very noisy. Spartan and simple environment. Service a little distracted and rushed, the meat arrived while we were still eating the starter. The waitress did not inform us of the extra menu specials which were excellent, nor of the possibility of choosing the meat at the counter, a true specialty of the place.
Very good food, especially the meat, the price a little high for the location in the middle of the countryside. The fact that you can take the food away in convenient anti-waste trays is very appreciable.

Abbiamo voluto provare vista la grande affluenza notata nei pressi del ristorante con macchine parcheggiate anche bordo strada. Non ce ne siamo pentiti, ottima scelta! Abbiamo mangiato carne molto buona, cottura perfetta e molto apprezzato il format del bancone a vista con selezione del pezzo di carne direttamente al banco dal cliente, buona varietà di scelta con razze pregiate e carne locale, prezzo variabile in base al tipo di carne a parità di buono standard qualitativo del prodotto. Location e servizio semplici e diretti, conto assolutamente soddisfacente 70€ totali per due belle bistecche da 300-400gr, 2 calici, due contorni e 1 dolce.
