We were out cycling and stopped in spontaneously at 12:30 for lunch. After half an hour, we had a seat in the packed dining room. The daily special was wonderful: a three-course meal with a quarter of the house red wine.

Lunch break with friends, fast service, wide choice on the daily menu and very large and varied side dish buffet, abundant and pleasant dishes. Reasonable cost, just right for the service and the food offered.

We were there yesterday 28 April 2025 (3 people + dog in tow) by chance on the advice of a lady from Colloro and we had a really great time.........We would have had to wait half an hour because the place was full but in 10 minutes the table was ready........Rich initial buffet (with the possibility of seconds) then very good first and second courses........Top price!!

ci torno appena sono in zona...Prezzo/qualità insuperabili. Lo dimostra il fatto che il locale è sempre pieno.....spesso con doppio turno...il self service di insalate vale da solo la visita ma poi i gustosi primi e la vasta scelta dei secondi confermano la scelta di questo sito dove Daniele e famiglia offrono servizio cordiale e preciso.

04/09/2025: La botte Stresa, a refined and stylish place, small and welcoming, the owner Matilde is always sunny, the staff and dining room are well-trained, the cuisine is delicious and will make you lose your mind.
17/08/2025: This trattoria was a nice surprise! Excellent food, professional servers, and a very pleasant owner. The ravioli are to die for! Highly recommended. However, you have to book, it's full.

Ristorante La Cascinetta

14/10/2025: Let's be honest... the place is charming and definitely perfect for a Sunday lunch in the fall! The fireplace is lit and the atmosphere is lovely. However, the food could be better. The house-made deli food lacks any particular flair, with rather "cheap" and poorly presented cold cuts. The risottos are good... the one with upper cheese and leek is very good, while the one with Castelmagno could have been a little better! Desserts are good, although the crème brûlée served warm would have been more appealing. Last note: the price! In my opinion, it's disproportionate for what you receive, and the €4 per person cover charge is really worth considering, despite the two-tone welcome aperitif that might justify it. In short: if you're in the area, why not! But if you have to plan a special trip to go... definitely not!
26/09/2025: Walk to this restaurant today on a whim and the food was amazing definitely a must from start to finish the whole experience blew us away
