It's a fixed destination every time I'm in Rome, unfortunately I have to say that this time it didn't go too well, not for the food (Gricia superlative as always) but for the staff, too hasty and with a feeling of annoyance in serving even with the place practically empty. The restaurant/trattoria must be a place where you can relax, not like being in a fast-food restaurant....

A non-touristy restaurant. The specialty is Roman pasta. Alla gricia, carbonara, alla matriciana, al vongole. Fair price and great flavor. A good experience.

22/06/2025: The food was superb, from the bread to the cold cuts... Super carbonara, very tasty. A Danish steak cooked to perfection and very good. Friendly and welcoming staff... But the service, slow (we were 2 tables, one for 4, one for 6) super-slow, a carbonara at least half an hour of waiting... between the various courses no one removed the plates from the table. The waitress walked straight by without looking at the tables. At the end of the meal we still had the previous dishes, from the first to the dessert, everything on the table. The appetizer ones, no, because they brought us the bruschetta without plates... We had to eat on the tablecloth... But if you have patience.... It's all good. Even the grilled vegetables that they never brought me!...
21/06/2025: I am increasingly convinced that relying on reviews is wrong. Very good food and friendly staff, I don't understand why some people have to write negative reviews just out of anger and malice. Fortunately when I read negative reviews I don't trust them and I prefer to try it myself. Google should not allow reviews to be used as a tool to damage a business. I ate very well three times and I will go back. Francesca

Al Cantuccio

01/06/2025: A hidden gem in the heart of Marino Laziale. Bucolic setting, divinely executed dishes, grandmother's flavors. What can I say, even if in a not very popular place, I hope that this kind of special places maintain their character. Compliments also to the host who knew how to be a perfect host. Thanks for the beautiful evening from the 4 guys from Forlì Cesena!
30/03/2025: Positive experience, very polite and polite owner, excellent cuisine, rustic and very characteristic environment, in the center of Marino. To return without a doubt.
