Exceptional pizza, and not only that

Everything was excellent, from the quality pizza to the fast and courteous service.

A charming, welcoming, and quiet place to spend a truly peaceful evening. The food is excellent, the pizza is uniquely delicious, with a light crust. One feature that struck me was the open kitchen, where even the cured meats are sliced ​​freshly to garnish the pizzas and dishes. The staff is kind and friendly. One drawback is the parking lot is a bit small given the crowds. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back.

Exceptional!!! Saccharum's pizza is truly exceptional. Hydration levels of over 65% and long leavening times make this pizza highly airy and digestible. It's a cloud. I would have liked to try several, especially since some pizzas have seasonal ingredients that aren't always on the menu. Before the pizza, we opted for a raw fish platter...what can I say...wonderful...from the melt-in-your-mouth sardines to the tender octopus. All this immersed in an elegant atmosphere where every detail has been carefully considered. The service is also worthy of mention; the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, attentive to the guests' needs. It deserves to be noted in our favorite places to visit, where we hope to return every time we pass through Altavilla.

The food wasn't exactly what I expected. The ingredients were sophisticated, but sometimes they were spot on, others less so, like the porchetta with its overly generous sauce on the crispy pizza, which, in my opinion, made the dough too soggy, overpowering the flavor of the porchetta itself. The carbonara pizza with extremely salty bacon and hard-boiled egg yolks was beyond me, given that it was supposed to be a carbonara cream: perhaps I didn't understand the point of this pizza, but in any case, it was excessively salty. I don't know, but for the second time I tried it, this cuisine didn't convince me again. The black cutlery rests were recycled from tabletop displays (some identical ones are still on display on the tables with the QR code sheet) with grooves on one side and visibly worn and peeling. The plastic chairs were not at all comfortable, with curved backs that made it impossible to rest your coat on. Considering how packed the place was, looking around the room I saw several jackets on the floor... Considering what it claims to communicate and charge, there are some starkly contrasting details that don't make me rate this place highly. For completeness: €33 per person for a table of 19 on a Sunday evening. Appetizers + 1 pizza each. Bottled water, a few Cokes, and two large bottled craft beers.

Beautiful place with ample parking and excellent pizza.

If I could give it 10 stars, I would!!! We've been to this beautiful restaurant several times for the fabulous pizzas with their ultra-light dough. The atmosphere is elegant and charming. This time we opted for the 8-course tasting menu, and what can I say... an explosion of flavors from the first course to the last. Everything was truly delicious! As always, the ingredients were of the highest quality and the dishes were so beautiful they almost seemed fake! The leavened products melted in your mouth, the dishes were truly exquisite! Even the recommended sparkling wine pairings were excellent and perfectly matched to the dishes. Impeccable service, as always. I can only compliment you! I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied.
