Extremely delicious food. Drinks are cold. Prices are reasonable. The service is wonderful. I would go again.

Only ate one dish: polenta with porcini mushrooms and sausage.. Two tiny pieces of sausage🙄🙄.. Polenta in the mountains should be better and without lumps.

Good lunch, friendly staff, and willing to accommodate customers with food intolerances. I wasn't too impressed with the tiramisu, as if it were something different from the standard... degustibus. The waiter was very friendly. They allow dogs in their shaded courtyard, which is a plus.

The blueberry risotto was top-notch...really good, tasty, and well-cooked. Pizza was a flop...half raw...not enough toppings despite the request for double the spicy salami and onion. The professional, friendly, and kind waiter made up for it by offering a bottle of amaro and suggesting a replacement pizza. At the tables next to us, the atmosphere was the same...satisfied with the mixed fried fish. Overall, I'd say that if the pizza chef could find someone to help him in the oven, things could be much better. We didn't even spend the world in the center of Santa Maria Maggiore. It was packed in the evening. Thanks, we'll try again in the future.

06/08/2025: Absolutely the best pizza in Cannobio so far. Truly Italian, fresh, and homemade. Not a great atmosphere, as it's more of a takeout option. But you can also sit in. Absolutely great prices. They still understand craftsmanship, good food, and freshness here.

Restaurant Lo Scalo

07/11/2025: We went for an aperitif at the Lo Scalo restaurant. It had a lovely, welcoming atmosphere and was very clean. We sat inside, which was well-heated, and ordered the platter of cured meats and cheeses. The flavors were excellent, authentic, and of high quality. The fried gnocco was SUPERB!!!! The seafood spaghetti was delicious, as were the fillet steak and the pizza. In short, everything was perfect. The kindness of the waiter and the sweetness of the owner were unique on Lake Maggiore. We'll gladly return to be pampered again. Highly recommended.
25/09/2025: The food was excellent, but the service was completely off-topic. You didn't feel truly welcome. And it wasn't the fault of the staff; they were manageable.
