Typical Roman restaurant. Good home cooking

I found this nice restaurant by chance, after a motorbike visit to Lake Paterno (a must see) on a beautiful windy but sunny day. The atmosphere is family-style and the cuisine is Roman/homemade. The owner is very helpful and really nice, so even if you are a solitary biker you will feel at home and no one will rush you during lunch! As soon as I sat down I was brought an appetizer which was enough: tomato bruschetta, beans with pork rinds, meatballs with mushroom sauce (excellent) and a basket of bread. I then continued with a carbonara... a truly generous and tasty portion, cooked very well, the kind that gives you satisfaction. All accompanied by house red wine (for meals), not bad, water, bitters and coffee. As far as I understand, most of the raw materials come from local businesses practically adjacent to the venue. Overall, I will definitely go back. They also have live music on the weekend from what I understand. If you pass through these parts and want to feel at home, this restaurant is the right place in my opinion. 10 out of 10 for the friendliness and hospitality of the owner and for the kindness of the girls who serve the tables! How much did I pay? I'm not saying that :)

The food was great and the Staff was very nice. Everyone was full and the price was very affordable. The Owner made sure we were well and took a shot limonchello with us at the end of our meal. We were the only tourists there and were very welcome. Overall a great experience and well worth the cheap price.

Claudio is a guarantee of cuisine from times gone by. True Roman cuisine. Superlative oxtail. Friendly and helpful staff Super recommended!

Traveling with his wife as a navigator we stopped at this place where the rustic inn actually offers handmade specialties and I must say abundant and delicious dishes, perhaps the air conditioning had some problems but the service and speed made us think of something else while we ate some excellent food

Genuine food, fair price, fireplace lit, quick service. New management!!! Genuine Roman and Lazio cuisine, quality ingredients, Gnocchi, oxtail, Greece, Amatriciana, lasagna... all very good! Nice manager and delightful collaborators. Fair prices, accessible for disabled people. Closed Sunday evening and Monday.
