While visiting the monastery we found this restaurant by chance, a family atmosphere and excellent cuisine. We ate the dishes they offered and from the appetizer to the dessert everything was delicious. The staff were kind, hospitable and friendly.

Beautiful restaurant. Cozy, clean, well furnished and with a staff that always welcomes you with a smile. The owner is a beautiful person... she always knows how to make you feel at home and the dishes, including vegetarian ones, are simply excellent. the best pasta with porcini mushrooms I've eaten and a chestnut, mushroom and bean soup that you can't help but savor.

Menù attento e curato basato su piatti della tradizione e su prodotti locali.
Disponibili diverse tipologie di pizze (bianche e rosse) con prodotti locali di qualità . Ottima la pasta.

Today we visited Roccamonfina and the nearby Sanctuary of the Madonna Santa Maria dei Lattani. We had lunch at the "Il vulcano" restaurant. Very well maintained and rustic place. The staff, the waitresses, very kind with courteous service and very attentive to customer needs, family management with genuine and local products, simple, genuine and straightforward cuisine. The cold cuts and cheese platter alone is worth the trip. Many homemade products, including the excellent turnip tops in oil and the tasty and genuine soups, including the one with chestnuts, porcini mushrooms, cannellini beans and bruschetta. Excellent selection of local meats and fair price. Definitely worth returning.
