Very good food and reasonably priced.

A great restaurant with a wide selection, delicious beer 🍻, and friendly staff. Free parking is available. Good home-style cooking with plenty of South Tyrolean delicacies. We were there during the week, but we still reserved a table, and it was a good deal. The entire restaurant was packed for dinner; with a large group (eight of us), it would have been difficult without a table reservation. Drinks arrived very quickly, and the food also arrived shortly afterward; only those who opted for pizza 🍕 had to wait a little longer. Everyone's food was plentiful and really tasty. The value for money was excellent. As always in beautiful South Tyrol, I opted for the shepherd's macaroni and I must say I wasn't disappointed. Very flavorful sauce, plenty of meat and speck, simply delicious. The others in the group were also thrilled with their food; we will definitely come back here for dinner again during our vacation. All in all, a clear recommendation.

I returned after two years. The first time I was so impressed that I returned. The second time was disappointing, except for the fast service and the five-star location.

My wife and I have been going to Eggbauern for over 20 years. We're either on vacation in South Tyrol or eating here when passing through from Italy. Huge portions that are extremely good, and very reasonably priced. Child-friendly with several trampolines. However, the ambiance is rather rustic. But the food is really good.

One looks out over Caldaro and the mountains, but firstly you have to avoid the view of the car park and the wheelie bins. The staff are wonderfully friendly and accommodating, whether you just stop for an espresso or something more substantial. What makes the difference if you have kids is the trampolines. The little ones can jump themselves out for free as you enjoy your food, all the time keeping them in full view.

A lovely, traditional, historic restaurant at the foot of the rack railway leading to the Mendola Pass... highly recommended, with generous portions and pizzas!
