Ristorante Pizzeria Da Ciaponi In Livorno

I have been twice for dinner, a place in need of modernization but the terrace offers an enviable view, unfortunately I have not always eaten well, the last time the paccheri with seafood were a little poor, I didn't have "the sea in my mouth" as they say.... We were a table and some of us landed and were happy. I will definitely give it another opportunity because the context, including the personal ones, deserves it.

Fillet with green pepper contained unsolicited cream, potato gnocchi with prawns unseen and unheard. Good pizza, waiting time between one course and another quite long, but understandable given the presence of many people.

Really great service! The view over the bay is really beautiful, the food is excellent and the prices are unbelievably good! The three of us paid €75 for 1 liter of wine, starter, 3 pastas, 3 desserts and espresso. Absolutely recommended!

Chaotic experience but with potential (3 stars) I'm pretty sure I hit the worst day in the history of this restaurant. For this reason, I give 3 stars and I will return, hoping to change my mind, given that I have heard good things about it from many. Unfortunately, I can't say I ate well. The day was truly special: a Sunday lunch with a gathering of around a hundred motorcyclists who, in addition to the noise, industrial smog and general chaos, obviously created problems in the kitchen. Let's move on to the review. I was surprised at how quickly the dishes were served. With all those people, I would have expected a long delay, but instead they arrived on time... but some cold and some lukewarm. This makes me think that many dishes were prepared shortly before to deal with the invasion of motorcyclists and then left there waiting to be ordered. All the lobster tagliolini were cold, with a slightly sweet sauce. The spaghetti with clams was good, even if lukewarm and with a considerable amount of garlic. In terms of flavour, however, among the best I ate in Livorno, a seaside city where it is incredibly difficult to find a place where you can eat decently good fish (after 40 years, I still haven't found a place where I can say I ate really well ). The baked sea bream was good. The prawns were tasty, but not clean. The mixed fried food wasn't bad. The mixed grill was a little cold. The desserts were good, but many things were missing because they ran out, thanks to the "voracious smog generators". The prices were good, below the average of many other places where the food is decidedly worse, and this was a positive aspect. The highlight of the place should be the view, but unfortunately we couldn't enjoy it due to the confusion. From the terrace you can see the sea and on summer evenings it must be really pleasant to be there. The waiters were good at managing all that chaos. Two things I really didn't like: I definitely would have liked to have been notified of the gathering, so I would have booked for another day. It was really unpleasant to find yourself in that mess. The cleaning; I saw things I would have preferred not to see. I will try it again, perhaps on a midweek evening, where I am sure that everything will be different and maybe I will be able to sit outside, enjoy the view of the sea, drink a good wine and a nice cacciucco.

A group of friends brought me, we ate from an agreed menu (I don't know if it's their custom)... 2 first courses, 2 second courses, both meat and fish, €25!! Decent portions... they served us with trays so some gorge themselves more than others... excellent quality considering also a very good and soft cut. To be recommended

Nothing to say about the food, all good, But long waiting times
