Just 2 minutes by car from the PADULA-BUONABITACOLO exit of the A3 SA-RC motorway (now A2 Mediterranean!) both towards Salerno and Reggio-Calabria, 5 minutes from the beautiful Certosa di Padula (Unesco heritage! ), in the center of the still little-known Vallo di Diano, part of the Cilento National Park, with its characteristic villages (one above all Teggiano) and its uncontaminated nature (I recommend the Pertosa Caves)! Located at the crossroads between Campania, Basilicata (Maratea 50 minutes away) and Calabria (Diamante just over 1 hour away), here at the Colonia pizzeria I truly had the best pizza I've ever tasted, strictly wood-fired, high and fragrant but absolutely digestible , with a wide choice of condiments: spring, tricolore, emmentaler salami and onion, caciocavallo and capocollo, porcini mushrooms, sausage and parmesan, caprese also with smoked provola, to be accompanied with a fresh HB draft beer. In the evening pizza, at lunch traditional Italian and southern dishes such as sea and mountain appetizers with local cured meats and dairy products, fresh Sicilian fusilli, with meat sauce, tagliatelle with speck and courgettes, roast veal and pork. Large outdoor terrace fabulous on summer evenings. The owners Antonio and Anneliese are always friendly and helpful. Italian and German speaking!

14/10/2024: We were at the campsite in the off-season with the motorhome. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are very good and the pitches in the middle of fig and olive trees are simply fantastic. Bonus: cute little cats.

From the reserve until the moment of delivery, the staff, with Ángela at the front, make you feel waited for and mimicked. Kindness and courtesy, authentic smiles and good humor will accompany you throughout your stay. The availability for every need gives you the impression of being in the family or in any case in a place where you have been and above all where you want to turn. 29/09/2024: If you eat on the terrace, the place is nice. For the quality of the meals, I'm sorry but it's not up to the level of the place. Great titles for the first courses but cooked in an elementary, I would say deceptive, way. For the second courses, the catch is good. Watch out for the prices, they absolutely do not correspond to the quality of the food. The point is not to overpay but at least eat well.
08/09/2024: Scario, la Portofino del sud, come la definì anni fa un noto giornalista, nonostante sia ormai completamente invasa di ristorantini e bar resta uno dei posti più incantevoli del porto di Policastro. Ebbene tra i tanti ,sicuramente uno dei migliori a mio avviso, è " U Zifaro".. locale storico sempre elegante con un servizio cordiale e professionale. Il menù di pesce è vario...tutto molto buono....un po più caro rispetto alla media, ma ne vale la pena perché QUI SANNO CUCINARE.
