Aside from the wait for the pizza, the food is all excellent and high-quality. The pizzas are good, and the burger is excellent. The staff is kind and friendly. Highly recommended.

Dinner for two, we had a delicious farinata with trumpet zucchini and 2 exceptional first courses. An apple pie that couldn't be better. It's true we waited a little, but the place was full, and both the owner and the staff apologized for the wait and we joked about superstition and our table no. 17. See you next time to try the pizza

It is now a fixed stop on our holidays in Liguria... dinner at the Candidate, in one of the alleys in the center of Albenga, from the first courses to the pizza to the fantastic farinata with onions and rosemary, truly Top. The owner is very kind and joking, what can I say... recommended!

21/07/2025: Typical Piedmontese cuisine, more Ligurian than Ligurian, exceptional service, and excellent quality food because they make it locally sourced; all the ingredients are from their own garden and their farmhouse.
09/06/2025: The best rabbit dishes of my life. My boyfriend and I had dinner here, typical trattoria atmosphere, very good food with gluten-free options (handmade pasta). We will definitely be back to try the mushrooms. More than fair price. Thank you 🙏🏻

19/06/2025: Ambiente accogliente..informale e terrazza rilassante. Il gelato è ottimo...da provare assolutamente i gusti alla Castagna di Calizzano , Pinolata e Mandorla agrumato. Una dozzina circa di gusto tutti eccellenti...la fama di Pinotto non si smentisce mai. Oggi abbiamo gustato i gusti : crema di mele selvatiche e lamponi, ricotta e fichi, miele e lavanda...che dire ...eccezionali!!!! La Carta dei gelati è stagionale...proposte e gusti sempre diversi che valorizzano frutta secca , frutta fresca e materie prime locali !!!
