14/07/2025: I'm sick of hearing the negative comments moaning. Of course, it's not super cheap, and of course, the food is good elsewhere too. And it's not a beach bar where you just walk in, sit down, and order a Coke (most of the negative comments are based on this misunderstanding). It's a classic dining restaurant that requires a reservation and a corresponding order of dishes, and where you pay for pane e coperto, even if you haven't eaten much. But anyone who comes here in the evening and sits on the terrace overlooking the sea, watching the sun go down, drinking a good white wine, and eating the bigoli in cassopipa, is very close to seventh heaven—but only if they haven't had an appetizer and have someone else with them ;-), otherwise, it's impossible. What's amazing to me is that despite this tourist hotspot character, the food is still very good, and the service is friendly and attentive.
Update 5/25: We were here with a group of 10 friends (with a reservation, of course), agreed on a small menu for the whole group with the waiter (mixed fish and seafood appetizer, bigoli in cassopipa, dessert) and were more than satisfied with both the food and the price we paid.
06/07/2025: An absolute gem by the sea!
The food was absolutely amazing – every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The house white wine (Friulano) exceeded expectations and paired perfectly with the seafood. Great atmosphere, attentive service, and fair prices. If you’re in Trieste, do not skip this place – it’s a true local treasure!
