Ristorante Messnerwirt´s Stuben In Valdaora

I've known the Hotel Messnerwirt in Valdaora di Sopra for over a decade. I last stayed there in August 2025. The family-run atmosphere lends the hotel a welcoming and truly comfortable atmosphere. The property has recently been renovated and offers everything you need in a hotel of this caliber, including a relaxation area with a sauna and Turkish bath, sensory shower, whirlpool, and infrared cabin, as well as numerous relaxation stations. The cuisine is delightful, light, and tasty, and always well-balanced. The service is attentive, discreet, and friendly. Breakfast is also excellent, especially the "sweet" version, which I prefer. A true courtesy to guests is the snack offered every afternoon, with authentic cakes and drinks that restore you from the morning's exertions! The rooms are spacious, all with balconies and very comfortable beds. The location is truly strategic, even for those who love a cycling holiday. The garage offers a veritable mini-workshop where you can take care of your bike, whether electric or manual, including the option of a thorough wash. The stunning setting of the Pusteria Valley gives this property, located at the foot of a typical Pusteria bell tower, a magical feel. I highly recommend it for families, couples, and single travelers!

We (a couple with our dog – an Australian Shepherd) spent a wonderful week at the Hotel Messnerwirt and have nothing but positive things to say. The hotel is absolutely dog-friendly – our four-legged friend was welcome everywhere. A particularly nice touch: We were able to eat with our dog in a separate dining room, which was very relaxing for us. We booked half-board and were thoroughly impressed with the food. A hearty breakfast was served in the morning, cake was available at lunch, and in the evening there was a daily four-course menu that was impressive in both quality and taste. While the menu wasn't always vegetarian as standard, special requests were accommodated in a completely uncomplicated and flexible manner – the kitchen caters to guests' individual needs. Our room was spacious, very clean, and had a large balcony – ideal for our dog, who had a place to retreat to. The wellness area is small but nice – perfect for relaxing after a hike. The service in all areas was also extremely friendly, attentive, and warm. You simply feel welcome. Conclusion: A thoroughly recommendable hotel – especially for couples with dogs who value comfort, excellent food, and a family atmosphere. We'd definitely love to come back!

My husband and I stayed at this lovely family-run hotel and were impressed with everything – from the friendliness of the staff to the cleanliness of the rooms and the exceptional food. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. Each morning we enjoyed a rich and delicious breakfast, and the dinners were a true culinary treat. As cyclists, we especially appreciated the dedicated storage and charging area for bikes – everything was secure, practical, and perfectly organized. A special thanks goes to Daniel, who gave us helpful advice and detailed information before each trip. His local knowledge and friendly tips made a real difference and added a personal touch to our stay. We would gladly return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a warm and high-quality place to stay.

We were five motorcyclists and had the pleasure of staying for two days at this beautiful property. We felt at home, ate very well, and enjoyed the kindness and professionalism of all the staff. The motorcycles were conveniently parked in the garage. Definitely a place to return to.

A truly fantastic hotel. First of all, a very friendly welcome, and continued excellent service. Everything was beautifully clean. Good breakfast, a very tasty evening menu. The wide range of options is also great, available on a special website. The location is perfect for my hikes. Parking is included. I didn't use the spa area, so I can't rate it. I highly recommend the hotel!

We stayed a few weeks ago for a weekend. The hotel is conveniently located near several local attractions, such as the city center, cable car, and train station. The building is modern yet retains a classic style. It consists of a main building and a separate annex, still just steps from the entrance. The staff was always friendly and available to tell us about the area's unique features. They shared valuable tips on what to visit and when, which was much appreciated! The hotel also offers a comfortable breakfast buffet, featuring a wide variety of local specialties, where you can also dine in the evening (the dinner was excellent, I highly recommend it!). Furthermore, at the back of the hotel is a bar area with an outdoor garden. This area is particularly lovely, as you can lounge in the garden while enjoying an aperitif or simply sit under the gazebo for an afternoon snack. We were pleasantly surprised by our stay. We recommend the experience to everyone!

The Messnerwirt in Oberolang impresses with its hospitality, good service, and clean rooms. The food is also impressive. Particularly noteworthy is the homemade cake, which is available fresh every afternoon as part of the half-board package. A garage (with power outlets) for bicycles is also available. The city bus, which runs directly in front of the hotel every half hour, is also particularly convenient. If you want to relax after a hike or bike ride, you can do so either on the large terrace with a cold drink or on one of the sun loungers in the garden. The Swiss pine schnapps was also particularly good :)
