The restaurant is located in Poggio Moiano in the Sabina area, an area rich in olives that produce excellent oil. The place looks like an 80s trattoria, but if you don't pay attention to the location but only to what you eat you have found the right place. The management is family-run, the owner is called Zoff due to his football past in goal, you will see him running in the rooms helped by his father while his wife takes care of the kitchen. I highly recommend you eat the macaroni which are very thin tagliolini with sauce.

Today, passing through Poggio Moiano with friends, we went for lunch at this historic restaurant in the area.
Truly a wonderful surprise.
As soon as we entered we were greeted and shown to our table.
For lunch we let the owner advise us.
We started with an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses with a side of pumpkin, beans and oforatella, a truly excellent start.
Followed by a typical local first course, macaroni with sauce.
For the second course, a black pork stew with porcini mushrooms.
All accompanied by a good local red wine.
You absolutely have to come back to try other dishes.

Prima di entrare in questo locale bisogna accettare il loro "modus operandi": cercano di non darti il menù (che allego), non portano il conto al tavolo, ti comunicano solo il totale e lo scontrino è solo su richiesta.
Premesso ciò i piatti però bisogna ammettere che non cercano di dare fregature e i piatti sono buoni e genuini.

Before entering this place you have to accept their "modus operandi": they try not to give you the menu (which I attach), they don't bring the bill to the table, they only tell you the total and the receipt is only on request.
Having said this, however, it must be admitted that they do not try to give rip-offs and the dishes are good and genuine.

Trattoria of the past, still authentic. Always packed on weekends. Reservation required in advance.
Good starter of cold cuts and cheeses. Tagliatelle with chestnuts inside the dough, seasoned with porcini mushrooms and sausages...Excellent.
Homemade sausages good but a little dry. Sublime potato pie based side dish. Too bad it ended so quickly.
Good panna cotta with sour cherries.
Coffee, wine and water.

I have been coming to this restaurant for years with my family, we always eat well in a welcoming and familiar environment.
Absolutely worth trying are the ravioli filled with ricotta and wild herbs and the famous macaroni.
