I had the pleasure of trying the “Sapori di Primavera” tasting menu at Le Colonne restaurant, and I can say with certainty that it was a culinary experience that goes beyond simply “eating well”.
In a gastronomic panorama where too often we come across predictable and soulless dishes, Lo Chef demonstrates with elegance and intelligence that there is a clear difference between proposing something good and knowing how to tell an idea through each course. There is nothing monotonous or repetitive here: there is vision, technique, and above all heart.
Each dish of the “Sapori di Primavera” menu is a celebration of the season, with bold but harmonious combinations that manage to surprise without ever forcing the hand. The play between consistencies, colors and aromas is managed with the lightness of someone who truly has mastery of the raw material and a deep respect for taste.

It is located in the heart of the village, and the walk to reach it is already a little magical moment. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the dishes are studied in detail and prepared with quality local ingredients.
The car park is also very convenient, large and well signposted, just before entering the centre.

I have lived in Santa Maria Maggiore since I was born, and a few days ago I went to the Le Colonne restaurant for the first time. How I regretted not coming sooner. The environment is classic and formal, but at the same time you can feel at ease. The waiters who followed my lunch and took my orders were disarmingly professional.
Not to mention the dishes. We start with a selection of breads (3 types) and homemade breadsticks, accompanied by excellent olive oil. On this occasion I was offered, as well as all the guests, a complimentary entreé. Delightful. I ordered barbed artichokes stuffed with a prawn filling, on a warm cheese fondue. Divinely presented dish which, although very delicate, exploded a marvel of tastes. Not to forget the coffee accompanied by their chatter, perhaps the lightest I've had in my life. Optimal. I will definitely come back. Compliments to the chef and the restaurant.

Cuisine with great attention to detail, the right mix of tradition and creativity (snail skewers with pepper sorbet, CBT veal belly with foie gras and mushrooms, spectacular desserts...) and impeccable and courteous service even though we arrived outside the deadline. Prices not low but more than justified by the very high quality.
