It was simply fantastic. Excellent service, even in German, and the buffalo mozzarella and mussels were delicious. As were the wine and beer. Prices were absolutely reasonable.

A truly beautiful and characteristic place in the center of Santa Maria di Castellabate, overlooking the sea! The smiles of a wonderful young man complemented the impeccable cuisine! Very delicious, fresh food. We chose fish for everything from the starter to the main course. Everything was perfectly seasoned. The prices are great for the location and the view. The service was quick and competent. The owner even speaks German and can recommend great dishes.

Da Nunzia si mangia benissimo! Lasciatevi consigliare da lei sui piatti di pesce del giorno sempre freschissimo e cucinato con amore. I primi di pasta fresca fatta a mano sono semplicemente divini, il servizio è ottimo e la location vista mare nelle arcate è bellissima. Assolutamente raccomandato!

L'Arcata dei Mazzeni is simply delightful. The atmosphere, the owner, the customers who quickly become regulars—everything speaks of the sea, stories of fishermen, authentic Cilento cuisine, and exceptional flavors. L'Arcata dei Mazzeni is the restaurant featured in the film "Welcome to the South," and it's one of half the filmmakers who visit the area. Signora Nunzia is incredibly kind and knowledgeable, her son is a highly educated and promising young man, and the cook is exceptional! Evenings in Santa Maria di Castellabate are all spent at L'Arcata, and they're all delightful... Did I forget the sunset over the sea???

12/08/2025: What can I say, it's an excellent place. I dined there twice in a week, both for their pizza and their (very fresh) fish. I appreciated the prices and, above all, the friendliness and vivacity of the staff and owners. The only tiny flaw was that the pizza dough was a little undercooked, but otherwise, everything was perfect!
