Beautiful location in the center of Assisi. Excellent service, very friendly and professional staff. It's definitely not a touristy place, but rather aimed at a clientele who appreciates quality food. Excellent value for money.

An experience to repeat!
La Fortezza is a true gem in the heart of Assisi. The location is perfect, right in the center, just steps from the city's wonders. I ate wonderfully: tasty dishes, made with quality ingredients and great attention to tradition. The portions are generous and will satisfy even the most discerning palates. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and immediately puts you at ease. A place where you can enjoy delicious food and truly feel at home. Highly recommended!

We came across this restaurant by chance, we felt welcomed right away. Excellent quality food, we recommend the wild boar cooked according to medieval tradition. Wide choice for vegetarians (I recommend the parmigiana and the spiced vegetable parcels).
They also offer a wide selection of wines and craft beers.
What can I say, highly recommended! Compliments to all the staff, especially the chef 😍

The food was amazing!!!!
Sat in for a table of 6. I ordered the steak in the photo, another veal, mix pork, chicken thighs, and lamb chops. Not sure the actual names of the courses— but the food was better than anticipated.

This is one of the most beautifully located and delicious place we ate in while staying in Italy.
The service was fast and efficient the food Was delicious and fresh.Table service was excellent with people who spoke english well..
Bathroom were well kept and clean.
When visiting Assisi definitely give this place a go you will not have regrets.

Muy buen almuerzo al aire libre en la pequeña terraza en la parte superior de los escalones. La Carbonara que pedimos era bueno y una gran porción, suficiente para 2 personas! Buen vaso de Prosecco y una cerveza, redondeado la comida.
