Authentic and relaxed local restaurant. Everything was really delicious and the view was stunning. We had limoncello and Aperol spritz which were very good.

We were in Ischia and were looking for a gluten-free place. They recommended Forestera. After reading other positive reviews about the gluten-free options, we decided to give it a try! My husband and I have dined here twice. The atmosphere is rustic and homey, and there are some adorable kittens roaming around the tables.
The owner assured us they've been offering gluten-free options for twenty years and therefore pay close attention to our needs. We ordered a shrimp and lobster entree and fried calamari, all truly delicious! Fair prices!
We recommend this place.

A true gem in Ischia!
La Forastera is Italy as we love it: generous cuisine, full of flavor, no fuss, and 100% authentic. Each dish exudes Italian tradition, with fresh produce and homemade recipes that make all the difference. A truly indulgent moment, simple and sincere.

Exquisite and abundant first courses.
Grilled meat of satisfactory quality and quantity.
Beautiful view but location ruined by the presence of many cats that roam among the tables undisturbed.
Not the best in hygiene throughout the place.

I was in this restaurant again during my stay in Ischia. As always the food served to us was excellent. The GF pasta with seafood, the parmigiana and the fried anchovies were excellent. Abundant and well cooked food, a relaxed atmosphere and kind and helpful staff make this restaurant unique, out of time. From the terrace then, you can finally see the sea and this gives an added value to the place, even if it is a little dated. Excellent value for money. I will definitely return
