A delightfully rustic restaurant. The family atmosphere, cuisine, and service, the friendly staff, the retro decor, and the ever-present but never intrusive cats make the experience more like dining at a friend's house than simply eating in a restaurant. La Forastera is my one-of-a-kind "place of the heart," a business to be protected and supported in every way.

Authentic and relaxed local restaurant. Everything was really delicious and the view was stunning. We had limoncello and Aperol spritz which were very good.

Excellent pasta, also available gluten-free.

We were in Ischia and were looking for a gluten-free place. They recommended Forestera. After reading other positive reviews about the gluten-free options, we decided to give it a try! My husband and I have dined here twice. The atmosphere is rustic and homey, and there are some adorable kittens roaming around the tables. The owner assured us they've been offering gluten-free options for twenty years and therefore pay close attention to our needs. We ordered a shrimp and lobster entree and fried calamari, all truly delicious! Fair prices! We recommend this place.

A true gem in Ischia! La Forastera is Italy as we love it: generous cuisine, bursting with flavor, unpretentious, and 100% authentic. Every dish breathes Italian tradition, with fresh ingredients and homemade recipes that make all the difference. A truly delightful, simple, and genuine experience. We'll definitely be back!

Dinner with local friends. Beautiful view, plentiful and delicious food, friendly and helpful staff. Satisfactory value for money.

No gourmet fare here, just a traditional menu (eureka!). Simple, good food. A simple (and slightly dated) place with a panoramic terrace.

Delicious and plentiful first courses. The grilled meat was of satisfactory quality and quantity. The view was beautiful, but the location was ruined by the presence of many cats roaming among the tables undisturbed. The entire place was not the best in hygiene.

I visited this restaurant again during my stay in Ischia. As always, the food was excellent. The GF seafood pasta, parmigiana, and fried anchovies were excellent. The food was plentiful and well-cooked, the relaxed atmosphere, and the friendly, helpful staff make this restaurant unique and timeless. From the terrace, you can finally see the sea, which adds to the restaurant's appeal, even if it's a little dated. Excellent value for money. I'll definitely be back.
